Table of Contents

(A) There is only one CREATOR [03:44 – 08:50]
  1. The deceased name written in the English alphabet is Ng Foong Huat. Xian Sheng then mentioned his name in Mandarin and Cantonese dialects. All three of his names are written and pronounced differently.
  2. Xian Sheng asked the followers to think about it. A person’s name can be pronounced in three languages, two of which are dialects of the Chinese language. Xian Sheng: What do you make of this?
  3. Names are not that important actually.
  4. Today, he is a Chinese man name Ng Foong Huat. What if he were to reincarnate as an Indian? His name could be Kandasamy or Samy Vellu. His name would be different if he were to reincarnate into an Indian family. Xian Sheng: What do you make of this now?
  5. A person’s name is assigned to them by another person. And to us, a name is very important.
  6. This is true because importance is what people assign to something that they think is important to them.
  7. In the English language, we say GOD is important and stress the word GOD.
  8. To a Malay Muslim, they would tell you, “GOD bukan ALLAH” (GOD is not ALLAH).
  9. To a Jew, they would say not GOD, not ALLAH, but YAHWEH.
  10. Xian Sheng: They are all the same.
  11. To the Chinese, the appropriate name is derived from sayings 人算不如天算 (Man proposes, but GOD disposes), 天无绝人之路 (Heaven does not restrict one’s path) and 天啊公 tolong (Heaven help me) which would be 天公 (TIAN GONG). TIAN GONG is the name the Chinese use for GOD.
  12. What is Baitiangong’s explanation for all these?
  13. There is only one CREATOR not two or more, regardless of whatever name we assigned to HIM.
  14. Whether we are a Muslim, a Christian or a Baitiangong, there is only one CREATOR, not two.
  15. If there were two CREATORs, our planet would be in a perilous position.
  16. Our planet rotates from east to west. The sun rises from the east and sets in the west. Actually, it is not the sun that rises and sets, it is the rotation of our planet around the sun.
  17. If there were two GODS and one wanted the planet to rotate from east to west while the other wanted the planet to rotate from south to north, we would be in “deep shit”. Today, our planet would rotate from east to west but tomorrow, our planet would rotate from south to north. That would be devastating. Humans would be in a recurring state of spatial disorientation.
  18. That is why there is only one CREATOR. If you believe in a CREATOR in the first place, there is only one CREATOR and not two. In Baitiangong, we believe in one CREATOR.
(B) Doing good deeds is important [08:51 – 11:38]
  1. That is why Baitiangong followers who came (to the obsequy) will kneel down to pray. Who are they kneeling down and praying to?
  2. They kneel down just like how Jesus and Prophet Muhammad knelt down to pray. Xian Sheng himself also kneel down to pray.
  3. Who does Jesus pray to with clasped hands? To the CREATOR of the universe and all and more than that.
  4. And who do the followers that came here today pray to? To the CREATOR of the universe and all and more than that. There is only one CREATOR and not two.
  5. What is the purpose of the followers coming here, kneeling down and praying for? The reason is that we treat Bro Ng Foong Huat as our brother.
  6. Xian Sheng pointed to a woman behind him and said that some people do not treat her as their mother. He said her children do not treat her as their mother as they do not even bother to attend the obsequies.
  7. If they treated her as a mother, (they would attend the obsequy with her) and not only visit her during the Chinese New Year holidays.
  8. Chinese New Year is not important. Doing good deeds is important.
  9. Every day is a New Year if you have money. Xian Sheng asked us to question ourselves whether this is true or not.
  10. Xian Sheng asked if today was a good day for Bro Ng Foong Huat who passed away on this day. Xian Sheng replied that it was a good day for him as he does not have to suffer anymore and he does not have to undergo an examination in life anymore as his examination has completed.
  11. The presence of Xian Sheng and the followers made it an even better day for Bro Ng because we kneel down and pray to the CREATOR using our mind, body and soul (for his forgiveness and for him to be given a good place in Heaven if he is deserving).
(C) Beware of false prophets [11:42 – 19:22]
  1. Some time ago, a Protestant priest said that Jesus is GOD. Xian Sheng asked the followers how to explain it to him (that Jesus is not GOD).
  2. Xian Sheng was formerly a Protestant in his youth and he studied the Bible.
  3. Xian Sheng said that Jesus mentioned the following verse, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.”
  4. Xian Sheng explained that Jesus said false preachers would use Jesus’ name to preach. Xian Sheng said he is unsure if the Christians remember this verse.
  5. Xian Sheng was schooled in the Christian Bible and he took the examination in Biblical studies. He graduated from Senior Cambridge1 even before the Independence of Malaya.
  6. Xian Sheng studied the scriptures which involved a lot of memorisation.
  7. Jesus had already warned that false preachers would come using his name to preach to the masses. This is not what Xian Sheng said but what Jesus said in the Gospel according to Matthew 7:15.
  8. Xian Sheng asked us to ponder over this. Today, there are over 3,000 Christian denominations in the world. (According to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity, there are 45,000 denominations in the world in 2019.)
  9. A friend of Xian Sheng once asked him why he left Christianity.
  10. Xian Sheng asked him which denomination he should join from over 3,000 denominations.
  11. As Xian Sheng was formerly a Protestant, he said that if he were to join the Catholic church, he would have irreconcilable differences with his friend’s Protestant church.
  12. Recently, Xian Sheng read from the newspaper about the ongoing sectarian violence between the Catholics and Protestants in Thailand. There were random bombings and shootings in bars and public places. He commented that if both the sect members truly understands about praying to the CREATOR, they would not kill each other or take the life of an innocent bystander.
  13. Recently more than 1,000 people were killed in violent confrontations between the Christian and Muslim gangs in Eastern Indonesia. An innocent person could be violently slashed to death by machetes for no apparent reasons other than their religious affiliation. The slaughterings are ongoing and someone could possibly being hacked to death as Xian Sheng is delivering his sermon in the obsequies.
  14. A person that genuinely prays to the CREATOR would not recklessly kill anyone regardless of their religious beliefs.
  15. Xian Sheng told the Baitiangong followers that they can only ever save a person’s life but never take a person’s life.
  16. As Baitiangong followers, we must treat everyone as our brothers and sisters regardless of whether they are Christian, Buddhist, Confucianism, Taoist, Protestant, Catholic, Jehovah’s Witness, Temple Guard (Jewish), Sikh, Hindu, etc. Do not be bothered with their skin colour.
  17. Xian Sheng asked us to contemplate what he is saying. He prayed for many of his Malay, Sikh and Hindu friends that have passed away. He prayed to the CREATOR for the forgiveness of their sins and a good place in Heaven if they are deserving. Xian Sheng said that he prayed for all of them despite their religious belief.
  18. Xian Sheng recollected his early upbringing as a Protestant as his uncle and auntie who raised him were Protestants. That is why he was a Protestant, attend church, partook in Christian ceremonies, celebrate Christmas and sing hymns.
(D) Man must kneel to pray to the CREATOR [19:24 – 23:53]
  1. Xian Sheng had come to know that:
    1. The CREATOR exists.
    2. Jesus knelt down to pray to the CREATOR.
    3. Prophet Muhammad knelt down to pray to the CREATOR.
  2. The question, therefore, is why did we change from kneeling to not kneeling to pray to the CREATOR?
  3. Why did we abandon the form of praying that affords the highest respect to the CREATOR, the form where we can project our prayer from our forehead by kneeling down, hands clasped and facing skywards?
  4. This is the best and highest form we can assume to pray to the CREATOR and this is the same form that Jesus and Prophet Muhammad used when praying to the CREATOR.
  5. In ancient China (Shang Dynasty), the pictogram that depicts praying/worship is the drawing of a man kneeling down. This meant that in ancient China, the Chinese also knelt down to pray.
    Image of Traditional pray character
The Character for Worship during the Shang Dynasty
The Shen Character in the Zhou Dynasty. People worship Shen (GOD) in ancient China
  6. Xian Sheng revealed that the ancient Chinese were already praying to the CREATOR long before Jesus’ time. Xian Sheng quoted from the book – The Religions of China written by James Legge, published in 1880 that described the Chinese were monotheistic and prayed to Ti more than 5,000 years ago (roughly 3120 BCE).2
  7. Xian Sheng reconfirmed that ancient Chinese prayed to the CREATOR.
  8. History took a turn for the worse when the Emperors (starting from Zhou Dynasty) declared themselves as the Son of Heaven. They demanded that people worship them instead (as living gods on Earth) or face execution by decapitation.
  9. As bad as the Emperors were, they were not completely rotten to the core as they themselves prayed to the CREATOR.
  10. The Emperor prayed to the CREATOR while his subjects prayed to him. This is actually a form of control over the masses. Later on, his subjects were forced to pray to the Ministers too.
  11. Xian Sheng summarised stating the pictographic character for praying in ancient China, long before the time of Jesus and Islam, depicts a man kneeling down with clasped hands and facing skywards.
  12. Xian Sheng asked if the Chinese educated remember (China’s history).
  13. In the past, the obsequies organisers would display the image of the Character for Worship during the Shang Dynasty for everyone to view. This would corroborate what Xian Sheng had said that he is talking about facts and not fiction.
  14. Xian Sheng shared the sermon he gave at Raub recently. The character for man 人 is formed by two strokes. As man is the most dominant on Earth, when we add a horizontal stroke to 人, man becomes 大 or great. Xian Sheng is illiterate in the Chinese language and this was shown to him by an Chinese caligrapher. But man cannot match the greatness of Heaven 天. Another horizontal stroke above great 大 and Heaven 天 obscures the greatness 大 of man 人. Thus 人算不如天算 (Let Heaven decide one’s fate)

(E) Everyday is a good day if we can perform a good deed [26:09 – 30:17]
  1. Xian Sheng talked about 人算不如天算 (Let Heaven decide one’s fate) and we are fortunate that Heaven has decided today.
  2. Heaven decided that today is a good day with so many brothers and sisters gathered to perform a good deed by kneeling down to pray for Bro Ng.
  3. What is a good deed?
  4. In a person’s lifetime, they would have performed good deeds and committed sinful deeds. How would we ever know whether they had accomplished more good in life or committed more sins in life? We would not know. It would be impossible for us to know.
  5. While it is true that they carry the burden of their own sins, what if their sins are beyond their personal redemption? What then?
  6. Xian Sheng: Should you pray for them?
  7. Xian Sheng said the followers should definitely pray for them and that is why the followers are here to pray for the deceased. It is a simple and straightforward case.
  8. Pray to the CREATOR in the following manner. GOD, Bro Ng Foong Huat, age 68 years old has passed away. Please forgive him of his sins during the 68 years of life and if deserving, please give him a place in Heaven. We pray to the CREATOR to forgive the sins of his soul.
  9. Xian Sheng asked whether this way of praying for the deceased is the right way or not. And if we believe that that is the wrong way, then we need to ask ourselves what we believe to be the right way.
  10. Xian Sheng reiterated that we are here to pray to TIAN GONG to forgive the sins of the deceased’s soul and if deserving, to give the soul a good place in Heaven. We accept that TIAN GONG is the CREATOR of everything and all and more than that. If anyone here thinks that this way of praying is wrong, then Xian Sheng said that he is at a loss to explain anymore.
  11. Two days ago, we had another obsequy. We are very fortunate to have two obsequies to attend to.
  12. We are fortunate because we have ample opportunities to do good deeds in life. To be able to attend obsequies and to pray for the soul of the deceased is a good deed indeed. And that is why we attend obsequies.
  13. Xian Sheng said that we are very fortunate because he has taught us how to pray for the deceased. And if we can attend more obsequies to pray for the soul of the deceased, we would earn more merits in life.
  14. These merits are not used in the here and now, but after we leave this plane of Earth, we would realise the full value of our merits. These merits are positive examination points for our souls because we have done good deeds.
  15. Xian Sheng: You came here today to perform a good deed. And that is why today is a good day because you are performing a good deed. Your action of praying to the CREATOR to forgive the sins of the deceased and if deserving, to give the soul a place in Heaven is a good deed.
  16. We understand in Baitiangong that every day is a good day and we came here to perform a good deed because it is a good day.
(F) Teach “those” Christians a lesson [30:30 – 39:40]
  1. Xian Sheng expressed his disappointment that the followers bearing camcorders failed to record a Christian lady repeating an old slander that Xian Sheng raped a thirteen-year-old girl in the 1980s. This incident took place two nights ago during the previous obsequy.
  2. Xian Sheng fully intends to teach “these” Christians a lesson someday by seeking legal redress against them if he is able to obtain a video recording of them uttering these defamatory remarks in public.
  3. The false rape accusation (which was later debunked, see The-battles-in-Court) was initially perpetrated from the lips of certain Christians. They started the slander at S.M. Kepong High School where Xian Sheng worked as a teacher, that he raped a thirteen-year-old girl student.
  4. In the early days of Baitiangong, Xian Sheng asked three new followers: Bro Phuah Kim Yean, Bro Tan An Bin and Bro Gary to go to the church and listen to their sermons. And if they liked what they heard, they should join the Christians and forsake Baitiangong. However, Xian Sheng gave them the option that if they were to join Christianity but found out that it does not suit them, they can rejoin Baitiangong again.
  5. Similarly, Xian Sheng also asked them to listen to the sermons from Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and as many others as they can attend. Xian Sheng wanted them to be exposed to other teachings so that they are well-informed before they commit to joining Baitiangong.
  6. They joined some Christians and attended the Church at Davidson Road (renamed Jalan Hang Jebat) and were warmly greeted by the pastor.
  7. Xian Sheng: Even pastors tell lies.
  8. The trio told the pastor that they listened to Chew Choon Ming (Xian Sheng’s name) in the past and they wanted to listen to Christianity now to determine whether Christianity is more suitable for them before joining them.
  9. The pastor wasted no time to inform them that Chew Choon Ming raped someone.
  10. When questioned on the source of the information, the pastor told them it came from Kepong (a district in Kuala Lumpur).
  11. The trio followed the pastor to a house in Kepong. The pastor told them that the family will relate the incident directly to them.
  12. One of the trio confronted the homeowner about the allegation that Chew Choon Ming raped her sister. They immediately denied ever making that allegation. They blamed it on the newspaper (Mister Weekly magazine) instead. (It turned out that the homeowner was previously a follower that left Baitiangong to join Christianity. The person they met is fondly known as 4th Auntie.)
  13. Bro Gary pointed at the pastor and told the homeowner the pastor personally attested that they were the source of the rape allegation.
  14. The pastor drooped his head and kept silent.
  15. Xian Sheng asked how a pastor could behave in such an uncharacteristic manner unbefitting a religious leader of his church.
  16. This is a true account with two of them present to corroborate Xian Sheng’s statement.
  17. Xian Sheng reaffirmed with Bro Phuah that the pastor drooped his head and kept silent. The fact that he was reluctant to respond implied that he was lying.
  18. Xian Sheng pointed at the newspaper articles displayed on the wall where he won all the cases that he initiated in court against all his detractors. He had already spent most of the money from the compensatory damages.
  19. There is unclaimed compensatory damage amounting to RM150,000 but Xian Sheng was unsuccessful in locating that individual. Xian Sheng heard from someone that the individual has likely migrated to another country.
  20. Xian Sheng: It is not right. If you dare to act, you should dare to bear the responsibility too.
  21. The Christians have also accused Xian Sheng of defrauding people.
  22. Xian Sheng pointed to the newspaper article about the abandoned housing project at Alam Jaya where Xian Sheng was able to recover the deposits worth RM2.2 million from the bank for the house owners. The lawyers suggested that Xian Sheng takes 50% as a service fee amounting to more than RM1 million. But Xian Sheng refused. How could a person like Xian Sheng who refused to take any money for helping others be accused of fraud?
  23. Xian Sheng gave another example where he helped a group of small contractors who were sub-sub-subcontractors collect the outstanding debt owed to them by the subcontractors of Time Engineering Bhd but paid by Time Engineering Bhd instead. These small contractors offered Xian Sheng 10% of the total debt for his assistance. Once again, Xian Sheng refused to collect any fees for helping others.
  24. Bro Phuah was one of these small contractors and he confirmed what Xian Sheng said was true and factual.
  25. As the total debt recovered from Time Engineering was RM180,000, 10% of that amount would be RM18,000. Many people would have accepted money, but not Xian Sheng.
  26. A herbalist from China on a business trip to Malaysia stayed in Xian Sheng’s guest room. He gave RM500 to Sis Wong Chew Ping for his accommodations. Xian Sheng refused to accept his money and asked Sis Wong to return the money to him.
  27. The most important issue for Xian Sheng is that he gets to listen to and understand praying to the CREATOR.
  28. Are the actions of Xian Sheng as portrayed in the three examples above of a person who would defraud others?
  29. If “these” Christians persist in propagating these slanders, Xian Sheng will take a no-holds-barred stance towards them. Xian Sheng wants their accusations to be recorded so that he can take legal action against them. This would be a one-time lesson for those who took lying to the extreme.
(G) Xian Sheng is the most dedicated teacher [39:41 – 44:44]
  1. Xian Sheng said he was not trying to boast when he said that there are no teachers in the whole of Malaysia that can compare to his dedication as a teacher when he taught at Kepong High School.
  2. Xian Sheng gave many of the weaker students who fares poorly in class free tuition and never collected a single cent from any of them.
  3. Xian Sheng held the post of teacher-in-charge of Prefect and Discipline and was very strict. He said that we can ask any of his previous students from Kepong High School to verify his claims.
  4. Many of the contractors familiar with Xian Sheng’s teaching career freely shared with our followers how Xian Sheng single-handedly eradicated gangsterism that was running rampant in Kepong High School after he came abroad within a very short span of time.
  5. Xian Sheng: The government is blind and cannot differentiate a good teacher from a bad teacher. (Refer to Xian Sheng’s suspension as a teacher @ 07B-2000 F1-F3)
  6. Once again, Xian Sheng urged the followers to ask any of the former Kepong High School students about Xian Sheng’s past history as a teacher.
  7. Xian Sheng recalled the time when he went to a bank to meet a Baitiangong follower working as a cashier. A former student of Xian Sheng walked into the bank and they exchanged greetings. After Xian Sheng left, the former student asked her how she knew Xian Sheng and she replied that Xian Sheng is our spiritual teacher. The former student proceeded to tell her that Xian Sheng was the most outstanding teacher as he can teach even the dumbest student to comprehend.
  8. Xian Sheng was the Head of the Department for Commerce & Book-Keeping (Principles of Accounts) and taught classes up to form five.
  9. Xian Sheng never collected any tuition fees for any of the students he taught. He would spend his personal time on Sunday teaching at four different houses from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. The students would gather at one out of the four nearby houses for a one-hour free tuition. The family of the last house would cook lunch for Xian Sheng as a token of appreciation for his unrivalled dedication.
  10. Xian Sheng consistently spent every Sunday of his personal time teaching his students. Xian Sheng challenged the followers to find any teachers that can match his dedication to teaching their students.
  11. As teacher-in-charge of Discipline, he would go to the houses of the mischievous students that skipped school for three consecutive days to check with their parents why they play truant.
  12. Xian Sheng: As former students, ask yourselves how many teachers would bother to investigate if you skipped school. How many teachers would bother to give you special tuition for subjects you are weak in?
  13. Today, Xian Sheng is only asking people to pray to the CREATOR. He is not asking anyone to do anything bad like stealing or robbing.
  14. Xian Sheng: How can that be wrong? How can that incur the animosity of people to twist the facts to slander me? It is not right!
  15. Xian Sheng said that the people need to wake up. Regardless of their religion, whether they are Christians or Muslims, they need to wake up to see that Xian Sheng is only asking the people to pray to the CREATOR and to change their ways if they have done wrong and not incite people to commit acts of violence like robbing, arson or murder. How can that be construed as wrong?
  16. In many aspects of society, if a person dislikes you for whatever reason, they will have a skewed perspective no matter what angle they view us.
(H) People like to see sensationalised news instead of the truth [47:16 – 49:14]
  1. The old man and the young boy realised that they should not be bothered by what others talk about them as they are entitled to freedom of speech. Xian Sheng was referring to his earlier sermon at Raub on the story of the Man, the Boy, and the Donkey from the Fables of Aesop. (See the story here @ 08B-2000 A2-A6.)
  2. However, freedom of speech should not be abused by talking recklessly. One must look at the circumstances carefully before opening one’s mouth as it could potentially lead to trouble if one repeatedly slanders others, like these newspapers that repeatedly print libellous articles on Xian Sheng. (Xian Sheng points to the newspaper articles hung on the wall).
  3. It is most unfortunate that Xian Sheng’s triumphant court case victories and the apologies issued by the culpable newspapers were given minimal coverage by the press resulting in low public awareness but the false accusations received headlines slot garnering thousands of readerships.
  4. Xian Sheng asked why people are not interested to read news articles about Xian Sheng’s success on the abandoned housing project in Alam Jaya (despite the intervention by politicians and notable individuals that failed to help the house owners recover their deposits from the banks) and the remarkable feat to get reimbursement directly from the Main Contractor for the sub-sub-subcontractors.
  5. Xian Sheng asked the followers to ask Bro Phuah whether he knows of anyone who would help others to such an extent that he willingly forked so much of his own money without asking for any compensation in return.
  6. Returning to the subject of the Christian lady reprising an old slander against him two nights ago, Xian Sheng lamented that it was most unfortunate that he was not around to direct the followers to record her defamatory statements. Xian Sheng would use that recording as evidence to thoroughly and utterly sue the pants off her as a one-time lesson repeating history all over again.
(I) Do not be afraid to do good deeds, but be very afraid if you do bad [49:25 – 58:10]
  1. Our motive why we came here today is to pray for the deceased because we want to do a good deed as today is a good day.
  2. Every day is a good day and we want to do good deeds every day. Our Baitiangong followers must think good, see good, hear good, speak good and do good. We must change for the betterment.
  3. Xian Sheng: If you do not think good, see good, hear good, speak good and do good, you change and you change until you are able to practise all the five good. As a person, you can surely change if you make a concerted effort to change.
  4. Some people told me that they cannot quit smoking. Xian Sheng related his personal smoking experience when he was a Lieutenant in the Federal Volunteer Force in 1979. A pack of Benson & Hedges is so cheap and costs 40 cents for a 20-pack. When he started smoking, it was even cheaper at 25 cents. The price for a 20-pack today costs RM4.30. A large bottle of beer only cost 65 cents but it started at 40 cents. Xian Sheng had to pay 65 cents at the Federal Volunteer Force camp. As a result, Xian Sheng became a chain smoker and heavy drinker. However, he go cold turkey and gave up smoking and heavy drinking. Xian Sheng still drinks on occasion mainly for its medicinal properties but never overindulges as in the past. Therefore, Xian Sheng believes those who say that they cannot stop smoking and/or drinking are deceiving others.
  5. Some people say they can quit everything else but not patronising prostitution.
  6. Xian Sheng: I am telling you that even if you say cannot, you must stop. The rise in HIV cases is alarming.
  7. Xian Sheng recalled his conversation at the Cheras crematorium yesterday with Bro Ooi Chai Lee that a contractor who worked at the same project worksite with him went to Thailand to seek prostitutes after earning tens of thousands in profit. The contractor contracted AIDS and his fingers had started to ooze pus. Bro Chai Lee wanted the Project Manager to sack that contractor or else he would tender his resignation. He also went around warning others to be aware of that contractor as he has AIDS. Bro Chai Lee neither cared nor was scared to expose the contractor as he is a Baitiangong follower. He kept warning everyone he met so that they would avoid any physical contact like shaking hands because they would contract AIDS if they have open wounds exposed to the pus secreted by the HIV-positive contractor. (See more details here @11B-B-2000 D5-D6)
  8. That is one of the consequences of seeking prostitutes. That is why in Baitiangong, prostitution is prohibited (The 9th Spiritual Guidelines state that prostitution is a sin of the sexual-relationship nature.)
  9. When Bro Chai Lee told Xian Sheng what he did, Xian Sheng told him that he did the right thing and not to fear any reprisal but encouraged him to inform everyone he met.
  10. Xian Sheng: If you do not tell people, they would not know. If someone has a contagious disease, you must inform others about it.
  11. Xian Sheng advised us to take cognisance of any contagious disease we have like hepatitis B and we should not use our personal cutlery to pick up any food from the shared dishes as we can spread the hepatitis B virus through our saliva on our chopsticks or spoon, but to use communal spoons placed in each food dish.
  12. Xian Sheng: You cannot spread any diseases to me but you can spread your diseases to others.
  13. Xian Sheng: If you have any disease, you have to take cognisance of it and not spread your disease to others. That is the actions of a Baitiangong follower. That is important. Baitiangong wants us to do good and not do bad towards other people.
  14. It is most unfortunate that others cannot appreciate Baitiangong. They only think of all the bad things to discredit Baitiangong like what the newspapers published.
  15. Why did some newspapers wrote these damaging articles about Xian Sheng if there wasn’t a shred of truth to it?
  16. Xian Sheng explained that the motive behind these false accusations is that someone wants to hinder the growth of Baitiangong.
  17. They are worried by the unison shown by the followers as demonstrated by the fact that the followers turned up in droves to attend the obsequy despite tonight being the eve of the Chinese New Year. Xian Sheng asked whether that was valid grounds for them to fear Baitiangong.
  18. Xian Sheng however admitted that realistically we are not entirely in unison as only a small portion of the 2,000 followers in Kuala Lumpur turned up.
  19. Granted that if 2,000 followers were to turn up, it would be chaotic to host all of them. Xian Sheng would not be able to deliver his sermon clearly as his speech would be drowned out by the chattering. Many followers have also gone back to their hometowns for the Chinese New Year celebrations tomorrow. (The old funeral parlour has very limited space to accommodate large crowds and no proper PA systems.)
  20. Xian Sheng hoped and urged the followers to join him tomorrow at 9:30 am for the cremation as he did not want to see the assemblage reduced by half due to the Chinese New Year.
  21. Xian Sheng: For the sake of the deceased’s soul, we should do our utmost by showing up to pray for the deceased. We pray tonight and tomorrow for the deceased’s soul and we hope he would receive our prayers for him.
  22. When it comes to death, it does not matter as one could die young or die old. What matters is that we do our utmost to pray for their soul.
  23. Xian Sheng once again encouraged the followers to join tomorrow morning’s cremation and not to give excuses like being unable to wake up or complain about the two consecutive obsequies.
  24. Xian Sheng: Do not be afraid to do good deeds, but be very afraid if you do bad. Attending obsequies is a good deed.
  25. So we should not complain about attending one obsequy after another and if there were another obsequy tomorrow, that would mean three opportunities for us to do good.
  26. Xian Sheng: The more obsequies you attend, the more points you accumulate. The points are yours and not mine.
  27. Xian Sheng ended his sermon by asking everyone present to pray together for Bro Ng Foong Huat.
  1. Replaced by Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia in the late 1970s.
  2. See the extracts from the book here. http://praytothecreator.info/spiritual-guidelines/pray-to-the-creator/
