(A) Xian Sheng would not tolerate us after his departure.
  1. A Baitiangong brother mentioned to Xian Sheng that he possesses remarkable patience towards his Baixian staff. Xian Sheng smiled and acknowledged the comment, clarifying that his patience was only extended to us during his time on Earth.
  2. He further explained that upon departing Earth (Xian Sheng returned to the plane of Nothing on 5th June 2000) and entrusting the care of Baixian to them, he would not tolerate any misbehaviour from them.
  3. He cautioned that if we thought he was unaware of our wrongful ways, we would be sadly mistaken. When our time on Earth concludes and our soul departs the plane of Earth, Xian Sheng will not exhibit the same patience as he did during our time on Earth.
  4. Hence, he urged the followers to awaken to the reality of our life’s examination. If we fail to awaken today, we will need to do so tomorrow.
  5. We no longer have the luxury of remaining asleep or ignorant. Xian Sheng emphasised that we must wake up, moreso as we are Baitiangong followers.
(B) Sinful – if you do not sign the Letter of Intent?
  1. Xian Sheng hoped that the Baitiangong brothers and sisters would sign the “Letter of Intent” if they anticipate encountering issues with their immediate non-Baitiangong family and relatives regarding their intention to conduct Baitiangong way of Obsequies in the event of their death. This action would dispel any doubts about their intentions to carry out the Baitiangong obsequies.
  2. Xian Sheng suggested that ideally, individuals should record a video wherein they inform their family members that any interference with their Baitiangong obsequies would be considered a sin. They should explicitly convey that, if their wishes are violated, forgiveness would not be granted even in death. Xian Sheng reiterated this statement to underscore the seriousness with which he addresses those who interfere with our obsequies.
  3. In the video, they should provide an explanation of the Baitiangong way of obsequies to their family members. Following the explanation, they should reiterate their desire to conduct it and make it clear that any interference by family members or relatives with their wishes would be unforgivable, even in death.
  4. Xian Sheng is very serious on this matter, as he has grown weary of conducting obsequies amidst hostility from family members.
  5. Xian Sheng mentioned a recent incident in which Bro Ong’s daughter informed us that she would not reach out to Baitiangong followers if her father passed away. Xian Sheng queried the followers about what actions could be taken in such a scenario.
  6. He emphasised that elderly followers should exercise caution in such situations. To avoid bearing the burden of sin, they should promptly sign the Letter of Intent and, through a recorded video, inform their family of their desire to conduct the Baitiangong way of obsequies.
  7. They should also extend an invitation to their family members to watch their recorded statement in the video while they are still in control of their faculties. This step is crucial for clarifying their wishes and preventing potential issues in the future.
(C) Praying for our ancestors.
  1. Xian Sheng shared with the followers our common request in our prayers for the deceased.
  2. Xian Sheng explained that we pray twice a day, typically upon waking in the morning and before retiring at night. After reciting the Baitiangong prayer, we request the CREATOR to bless all the saints with a better place in Heaven.
  3. When Baitiangong followers, who pray to the CREATOR with their mind, body and soul pass away, they attain a place in Heaven as saints.
  4. However, Xian Sheng emphasised that we require our descendants to pray for us. They would also pray following the common request – we request the CREATOR to bless all the saints with a better place in Heaven. Xian Sheng stressed that we pray for all the saints in Heaven.
  5. After we pray for all the saints, we pray for our ancestors. We pray to the CREATOR to forgive, pardon and lessen the sins of our ancestors. If deserving, to give them a good place in Heaven. We continue to pray as follows for the rest of our lives for all the saints and our ancestors.
  6. For individuals who are already saints in Heaven, our prayers encompass them as well.
  7. Xian Sheng inquired if we have any descendants or children to pray for us. He raised the question that if we do not involve our children in Baitiangong activities when they are young, can we expect them to pray for us when they have grown up?
  8. If our response contends that our children have grown up and live in their own world, thus not following their parents in praying to the CREATOR, Xian Sheng rebuts by stating that we are mistaken. He asserts that we should have ensured, when our children were still young, to include them in our world.
(D) Early Chinese practiced cremation, not burial.
  1. Xian Sheng was referring to a newspaper article published the day before, in which Ong Ka Ting, the then Minister of Housing and Local Government, praised Nirvana Memorial Park.
  2. He questioned the credibility of the minister in the Malaysian government, stating that he failed to understand the minister’s motive in praising Nirvana for preserving the so-called Chinese traditional practices.
  3. Xian Sheng gave a heavy sigh of disappointment before proceeding to state that Nirvana had obtained ISO 9002, a quality management system standard certification, in 1998.
  4. He remarked that Minister Ong Ka Ting’s ‘good’ praises are more targeted for Nirvana’s affluent shareholders, considering the high costs involved. A small single plot (roughly 4 x 7 feet) costs RM20,000, while a double plot costs RM40,000. Hence, it would certainly be ‘good’ for the wealthy capitalists. However, the ‘bad’ is borne by those who are buried there.
  5. Xian Sheng explained that the ‘bad’ stems from their selfishness, as their money is tied to a small plot of land hosting their corpses. He added that their money would be better utilised if they donated RM20,000 to old folks’ homes and RM20,000 to orphanages. It would be far better for them to donate their money than to use it to buy a small plot of land to bury their own corpse.
  6. Xian Sheng reiterated that the ‘good’ which the minister claimed is only for the rich and Nirvana Asia Group, the company operating the business. He asked the followers to refer to the recent newspaper regarding what Ong Ka Ting said.
  7. Xian Sheng commented on the minister’s sense of priority regarding what’s good and bad. He stated that if he were the minister, he would encourage the Chinese to opt for cremation instead of wasting their money on those schemes.
  8. The scattering of ashes into the sea is part of most cremation ceremonies. Xian Sheng added that the sea currents would scatter the ashes to all four corners of the world, as in the popular Chinese phrase, “四海為家”1 or “the four seas are home.” This would mean that the deceased is not confined to a small plot of land where their body is buried, but the whole world is now their home. They seem to have forgotten about this phrase. Cremation and the scattering of ashes into the seas, 四海為家, is the better way.
  9. From a medical viewpoint, any diseases carried by the deceased would be incinerated along with the body. Whether it’s AIDS, cancer, or any deadly disease, fire would burn away all the dangerous pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites.
  10. On the other hand, when it comes to ground burials, heavy rain could flood the coffins, and the pathogens in the corpses could be carried along with the flow of the water. Xian Sheng asked whether it is possible for the water to carry the pathogens to the living.
  11. The depth of 6 feet for the coffin is not very deep. Xian Sheng used homophones to describe the ground burial of 6 feet as “唔係好深,” meaning not very deep, and also “唔好心,” meaning not good at heart. He smiled as he explained the end result was not good, as dangerous pathogens could be carried along with the flow of water to the outside world.
  12. A person who died from a deadly pathogen but refuses to be cremated is far worse than not having a good heart because they would rather leave the disease to the living than choose cremation.
  13. Xian Sheng asked the followers to ponder over the minister’s actions in supporting such capitalistic practices.
  14. He reiterated that if he were a minister, he would neither support them nor declare that he does not support them. Even if he does support them, he would not publicly declare his stance. The reason is that it should be up to the public to decide.
  15. However, the best stand for a minister should be to state that cremation is preferable. From a medical standpoint, any pathogens in the corpse would be eradicated by the fire. From a traditional cultural viewpoint, the ashes would be scattered to the seas, making all four corners of the world their home.
  16. Xian Sheng had discussed with some followers since 6.00 am this morning the topic of Nirvana Memorial Park and Ong Ka Ting extending his support to them, citing the preservation of Chinese cultural practices.
  17. Xian Sheng shared with followers that the early Chinese people cremated their dead instead of burying them. However, subsequent generations of Chinese have forgotten about their early ancestors’ ways.
  18. Nevertheless, Xian Sheng emphasised that cremation is the best method. We do not want the living grabbing up lands to reserve for the dead, nor the dead depriving the living of lands.
  19. Land should be used by the living. What do the dead need with lands anyway? If the dead cannot take their monetary assets with them in death, taking land would be completely out of the question as land is an immovable asset. Hence, cremation would be the best choice.
  20. Instead, the minister got involved to lend his support to Nirvana. Xian Sheng sarcastically told Bro Tan that Nirvana should obtain more ISO certification to be the best so that all the rich capitalists can buy plots of land to be buried there. However, do not charge them RM20,000 a plot but charge them higher, preferably RM40,000 a plot.
  21. On a different subject, MCA boasted that they led the Chinese community to donate blood and organs upon death. Xian Sheng clarified that it was the Baitiangong Universal Spiritual Movement that led the Chinese to first donate blood and eye cornea. Please refer to the year 1979 under the History of BUSM
  22. Xian Sheng asked if anyone recalls whether the Chinese community ever spoke about donating blood before 1979. It was the Baitiangong Spiritual Movement that took the lead in 1979 when Xian Sheng led 43 followers to a blood donation drive at KL General Hospital. This event appeared in the local newspaper as well.
  23. When MCA saw Baitiangong followers donating blood, they were compelled by their conscience to follow suit and started to organise blood donation campaigns with full media coverage.
  24. Xian Sheng stated that when we donate blood, we do not need the publicity or coverage by the news media. What is important, according to him, is, “你知我知天知地知” or You know, I know, Heaven knows, Hell knows.
  25. One of the advantages of Baitiangong lies in our way of obsequies. Xian Sheng reassured the followers that no organisations in the world conduct funerals similar to the Baitiangong way of obsequies.
  26. Xian Sheng asked if any followers had read or knew of any funeral ways similar to Baitiangong’s way. He added that the Baitiangong way of obsequies is the most reasonable and most logical.
  27. Xian Sheng asked the question of what we can do for a deceased person. Pray to them? This is a useless action. Give them food to eat? They cannot consume physical food. Burning offerings of Hell money is actually cheating them as they cannot receive or use them.
  28. We inform everyone attending the obsequies, regardless of whether they are millionaires or hold honourary titles such as Datuk, Tan Sri, or Tun, to kneel down and pray for the deceased if they want to pay their respects.
  29. We request all those who attend to take turns to kneel and pray for the deceased so that we can maintain a continuous and unbroken stream of prayers to request the CREATOR to forgive, pardon, and lessen the sins of the deceased, and if they are deserving, to grant them a good place in Heaven.
  30. Xian Sheng asked who would pray for the deceased in such a manner as the Baitiangong brothers and sisters do on behalf of the deceased. Furthermore, we do not only do it once during the obsequies, as the deceased’s family members would continue to pray twice daily for all the saints and their ancestors for the rest of their lives. Xian Sheng adamantly stated that Baitiangong is the least selfish of all.
(E) Not even 10% of followers pray with their mind, body, and soul.
  1. Xian Sheng questioned whether anyone prays for all the saints and their ancestors, similar to what Baitiangong brothers and sisters do twice daily.
  2. There are individuals who pray to Guan Yin solely to win the lottery or pray to Guan Gong with the desire to succeed in the 4-digit lotto. These actions are considered selfish acts of prayer.
  3. When Baitiangong brothers and sisters visit the home of another follower, they pray for the owner and their family members as follows: “出入平安,身体健康,做事顺利,万事如意” or “GOD, please bless our brother/sister and their family with safety and security in all their comings and goings, good health, their endeavours smooth and successful, and their wishes come true.”
  4. Once again, Xian Sheng reiterated his question, asking who in Malaysia or even in the whole world would pray in such a manner. Xian Sheng adamantly replied with a firm, “NONE!”
  5. Xian Sheng announced that only in the Baitiangong Spiritual Movement, followers are publicly acknowledged as brothers and sisters to each other. He stressed that no one else in this whole wide world treats others as their brothers and sisters.
  6. Referring to ‘the voice’ he heard in the early days of Baitiangong, he reaffirmed that ‘the voice’ is absolutely correct when it informed him that not even 1% of the population prays to the CREATOR with their mind, body, and soul.
  7. Xian Sheng emphasised that only in the Baitiangong Spiritual Movement, there exist individuals that pray with their mind, body and soul. He is not even sure if these individuals constitute 0.0000001% (1/1 billion x 100) or a fraction of a billionth of the world population. Xian Sheng reiterated what ‘the voice’ stated about the number of individuals being less than 1% and reconfirmed that ‘the voice’ was indeed correct.
  8. He went on to state that within the ‘less than 1%’, which mainly consisted of Baitiangong followers, ‘the voice’ further stated that not even 10% of followers in the Spiritual Movement pray to the CREATOR with their mind, body, and soul.
  9. Xian Sheng challenged that if there are 10% of Baitiangong followers who pray with their mind, body, and soul, he can provide one statement to dispel that notion.
  10. He believes Bro Too Lim Peng could possibly see clearly, free from his current cataract impairment, if there were indeed more than 10% of followers who pray with their mind, body, and soul. (The rationale for this is if 10% or more of the followers pray with their mind, body and soul, and request the CREATOR to restore Bro Too Lim Peng’s vision, he could possibly see clearly once again.) Earlier, Bro Too Lim Peng told him that he hoped for a miracle on that day. As for miracles, Xian Sheng said that if Bro Too Lim Peng were to comply with his request to go preach in China, Bro Too could likely witness a miracle where he would not be blind like he is presently.
  11. Xian Sheng recounted that he had also requested Bro Cheong Wai Leong to preach in China. Xian Sheng made a whimpering noise to indicate that Bro Cheong Wai Leong responded negatively to his request. He added that Bro Cheong Wai Leong would still possibly be in the room with them and participating in this discussion if he had listened to Xian Sheng.
  12. Xian Sheng sternly asked when the followers are going to wake up. What are the elderly and retired to do with their time? Xian Sheng passionately proposed that they should preach until the day they pass away.
  13. Xian Sheng told Bro Too Lim Peng to retire from working, but Bro Too insisted that he still needed to work on something for Baixian. Xian Sheng asked the followers to verify what he mentioned with Bro Too. Xian Sheng said he failed to understand what Bro Too had to do in Baixian.
  14. Xian Sheng immediately interjected to the fact that he was also working for Baixian, but he found the time to perform his spiritual function. He elaborated that he would slowly release his work to dedicate all his time towards Baitiangong.
(F) If we have not changed when Xian Sheng is with us, we will never change.
  1. Xian Sheng revealed that it was Bro Hung from Australia who told him that Baixian staff are useless. Bro Hung said that Xian Sheng needs to fire all of them first before he takes over the restaurant business.
  2. However, Xian Sheng believed that his staff are capable of change, given sufficient time and using a suitable methodology. Xian Sheng said that he would focus on them individually to bring about change. In time, we would be able to change all of them.
  3. The common perception is that humans are incapable of change. However, Xian Sheng reiterated his belief that humans can change and does not believe that humans are incapable of change.
  4. He has a strong conviction that his staff can change. He explained that his strong conviction is based on his belief that it is not solely a matter of time, but when they want to change themselves.
  5. Xian Sheng hoped that they would change before he departed from mankind. If they were to procrastinate about changing themselves until after Xian Sheng departs, then Xian Sheng said they would never be able to change. The explanation is if they refuse to change when Xian Sheng is with us, they will undoubtedly have no reason to change after Xian Sheng departs mankind.
  6. Baitiangong is the biggest change for any individual. It changes the individual’s core principles until they pray to the CREATOR with their mind, body, and soul.
  7. Xian Sheng advised the followers that they must change. They must change until they are able to pray with their mind, body, and soul.
  8. As it was a Sunday, Xian Sheng asked the followers whether the time had reached 4:00 pm. They replied that it was indeed 4:00 pm. Xian Sheng said that they must use their mind, body, and soul to pray during 4:00 pm on Sundays. The right way is to keep changing until they are able to do so. Xian Sheng instructed them to open all the windows to have a clear view of the sky.
(G) If we do not pray with mind, body, and soul, it is difficult to receive any blessings from GOD.
  1. When talking about followers praying to the CREATOR, it is of utmost importance that they pray with their mind, body and soul.
  2. If we clasp our hands to pray but do not pray with our mind, body and soul, it would be extremely difficult to receive any blessings or have our requests fulfilled by the CREATOR. The only way is for us to pray with our mind, body, and soul.
  3. Praying with our body and soul alone is not enough. We must include our mind when praying to the CREATOR. Only then are we successful.
  4. Xian Sheng encouraged the followers to ask themselves whether they truly pray with their mind, body, and soul. If they do not, then ‘CHANGE’!
(H) Preach Baitiangong to everyone you know and everywhere you go.
  1. Xian Sheng requested all followers to preach Baitiangong to everyone they know and everywhere they go.
  2. He provided the following examples: Talk to your barber about Baitiangong. If you are familiar with the vegetable seller in the market, talk to them about Baitiangong. When having tea with friends and engaging in casual conversation, talk to them about Baitiangong. This means that wherever you go, talk about Baitiangong with everyone.
  3. Xian Sheng explained that there is a future possibility that if they encounter Baitiangong obsequies after having previously heard about Baitiangong from us, they might possibly consider changing to pray to the CREATOR. This is because we have laid a foundation for Baitiangong with them. While the initial discussion may not have fully exposed them to Baitiangong’s teachings, witnessing our way of obsequies could prompt them to acknowledge its correctness and have an awakening on the spot, leading them to change to praying to the CREATOR.
  4. However, if we hadn’t spoken to them beforehand, they would remain unaware. Hence, we need to talk to everyone.
  5. Xian Sheng suggests that we begin with our family first. Parents need to get their children to sit down and preach to them. Preaching should start with our family first. Debates should also start with our family first. It is acceptable for us to engage in debates with our children regarding their perspectives on the good and bad of Baitiangong.
  6. If our children pose insightful questions for which we cannot provide satisfactory answers, please write them down and seek answers from Xian Sheng during our meetings with him. In cases where meeting with Xian Sheng is not possible, we can email the questions to him at baixian@po.jaring.my. Note that Jaring underwent liquidation on 23 April 2015 and is no longer in business.
(I) Even if I tell you, do not believe me.
  1. Xian Sheng asked the followers if he had reminded them on multiple occasions of the following: “Even if I tell you, do not believe me.”
  2. He wanted the followers to listen carefully and before retiring for the night, to contemplate his words. After undergoing a thoughtful deliberation process, if they concluded that Baitiangong is right, it would then be their personal decision to embrace Baitiangong teachings. Xian Sheng wants the followers to use their analytical mind and logical thinking to decide for themselves and not to be influenced by him to pray to the CREATOR. He said that we must be the influencers of our own decision to pray to the CREATOR and should not let others influence them.
  3. Referring to the Australian computer graduate who initially claimed that humans do not possess a soul, he eventually became convinced that humans do have a soul after listening to Xian Sheng and contemplating the matter. The Australian graduate declared that humans do indeed have a soul. Xian Sheng summarised the arguments that led him to this conclusion. If a computer turns on when he switches on the electricity and turns off when he switches off the electricity, then he would be the equivalent of the CREATOR, the electricity the equivalent of the soul, and the computer the equivalent of a human. Subsequently, Xian Sheng proceeded to explain the creation process to him, and he eventually accepted the explanation too.
  4. On a subsequent visit to Australia, Xian Sheng followed up with Sis Elaine about the status of the graduate. Sis Elaine replied that the graduate mentioned Xian Sheng as an extraordinary individual with exceptional rhetorical skills, speaking eloquently. He expressed that Xian Sheng’s arguments are so compelling and irrefutable that he was unable to provide any counterarguments.
  5. Xian Sheng modestly informed Sis Elaine that he was not the extraordinary individual; instead, it was the graduate. He explained that the graduate is capable of conducting in-depth analysis, but such analysis must be guided in the right direction. If the analysis is not guided correctly, he will not accept our explanation. He would only accept his own analysis because he controlled the narrative, not Xian Sheng. However, Xian Sheng guided the direction by equating the graduate, computer, and electricity with the CREATOR, human, and soul respectively and then threw back the logic of his argument to him.
  6. The computer graduate experienced a spiritual awakening after realising that the spiritual arguments presented by Xian Sheng were compatible with the computer logic he studied. This form of awakening is more significant as he inadvertently preached to himself instead of us preaching to him.
  7. Nevertheless, we must start by preaching to everyone everywhere we go. We have to start preaching if we truly want Baitiangong to expand. When it comes to preaching, do not bother with whom we talk, and just talk with everyone. Hopefully, in the near future, when they encounter the Baitiangong way of Obsequies for someone they know, they may realise that the Baitiangong way is the right way.
  8. Xian Sheng shared that many individuals he spoke to during the Baitiangong Way of Obsequies affirmed that Baitiangong is the right way. However, Xian Sheng is uncertain about when they would join us to pray to the CREATOR. Nevertheless, he reiterated that many individuals had told him that the Baitiangong way is the right way.
  9. Xian Sheng stressed that the most crucial mindset to impart to anyone we preach to is that Baitiangong is the right way, and there are no negative downsides. This is the primary methodology we must convey to those we preach to and allow it to settle into their minds. The next time they encounter any Baitiangong followers or activities, they will be more inclined to listen to Baitiangong teachings.
(J) praytothecreator.com for international purpose.
  1. The term “Baitiangong” is well-suited for the Chinese community. However, for international outreach through the internet, the domain name “Baitiangong” is not suitable.
  2. Recently, when Xian Sheng was in Singapore, he instructed the brothers and sisters to register the domain name baitiangong.com. Unfortunately, it was already claimed by someone, and Xian Sheng is uncertain about whether the individual would willingly transfer the domain name to the Spiritual Movement. Nevertheless, the domain name baitiangong.com is not crucial.
  3. The crucial domain name for international outreach is “praytothecreator.com.” He requested the Singapore brothers and sisters to promptly register this domain name for him.
  4. Recently, Xian Sheng visited a Linux exhibition in Australia and spent a few hours exploring booths with Bro Chew Pit King. They came across an exhibitor who offered them a one-year free use of the domain name praytothecreator.com.au. Unfortunately, Xian Sheng stated that it did not align with his preference, as the offer came with the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) .au. Xian Sheng prefers praytothecreator.com as the best choice.
  5. Xian Sheng promptly requested the Singapore brothers and sisters to register praytothecreator.com. He hoped they would apply for and register it. Once we register that domain name, nobody else can apply for it.
  6. Actually, the domain name consisting of English words forming “praytothecreator” is preferred because English is a language used in many countries and, therefore, has international recognition.
  7. Xian Sheng inquired if the followers understood his reasoning. We use three languages on our signboard to convey the essence of our Spiritual Movement. The languages are 拜天公 (Baitiangong), sembayang kepada TUHAN, and pray to the CREATOR. Xian Sheng utilised the third language for the website.
  8. Xian Sheng went on to clarify that if we were to use the domain name sembayangkepadatuhan.com, the international community might not grasp the website’s purpose. Xian Sheng simulated an English-speaking reader asking, “What is this? Sam-buy-young-kept-pada-two-han.” Even if we use Hanyu Pinyin baitiangong.com, it is not internationally accepted yet, and they would not immediately understand the website’s purpose.
  9. That is why if we use praytothecreator.com, the international community would easily understand. Xian Sheng asked if the followers understood his explanation and concluded that it was for that reason that he wanted to register that domain name.
  1. The 4 seas in Chinese mythology are the East, West, South, and North seas. The ancient Chinese believed that heaven was round and the earth was square, with China in the middle of the earth, which was surrounded on all four sides by the Four Seas.
