(A) Scientific Remote Viewing
- Xian Sheng wanted to know who among the participants in the meditation session had not been to Baixian Travel & Tours.
- He wanted the followers to explore a different form of meditation.
- He wanted them to meditate and visualise themselves going to the Baixian Travel & Tours office. Since his goal was for them to explore this meditation methodology, their success in the exercise was not the primary concern.
- He instructed them to focus their minds on the Baixian office, visualise travelling there and see the main door of the Travel & Tours company. Next, he asked them to enter the office and look around to identify the items inside. However, Xian Sheng mentioned that there were two sofas for guests, standard tables, chairs, and computers, two televisions mounted on the wall, portraits of the Agong and the Prime Minister, a framed newspaper article featuring a Minister with Xian Sheng, various landscape pictures—particularly one of Langkawi—and numerous other office equipment and supplies.
- Xian Sheng instructed them to touch one of the items and then return to the meditation ground at his house.
- Since they were aware that they were meditating, this implied that their souls would travel there to look around and then return to their bodies. Xian Sheng asked if they understood what he had explained so far.
- Since the followers were sitting and meditating, Xian Sheng instructed them to visualise themselves travelling to the Baixian office—whether by walking, driving, or appearing instantly. He explained that the choice was theirs, as some might prefer to arrive there instantly.
- They should look up at the signboard to confirm that it reads Baixian Travel and Tours Sdn Bhd before entering. To the left of the Baixian office is a shop selling brass furniture, including beds, tables, and chairs. To the right is Lim Tyre, which sells Goodyear tyres.
- Xian Sheng urged them to take a seat on the sofas and scrutinise every item in the room before returning to the meditation ground.
- This means they must focus their minds on travelling there and then returning here. That said, the ability to successfully travel there is a different issue altogether.
- Xian Sheng explained that this technique is called Scientific Remote Viewing, and there are individuals who practice and experiment with this form of meditation.
- Xian Sheng explained that there are many forms of meditation, particularly in yoga, such as the Tree Pose (Vrksasana), where a person stands on one leg with the other foot placed on the inner thigh, and the Side-Reclining Pose (Anantasana), which involves lying on one’s side with the head resting on the palm of the hand. There are also seated poses, like those practised in Baitiangong. Some people practise yoga meditation by bending their bodies backwards, as in the Camel Pose (Ustrasana) and the Upward-Facing Bow Pose (Urdhva Dhanurasana). Additionally, there are those who engage in nude meditation, where men and women meditate together. With so many forms of meditation, Xian Sheng concluded by mentioning a type of standing meditation, such as Zhan Zhuang, where one stands with eyes closed for many hours, with a minimum of half an hour.
- Today, Xian Sheng instructed the followers to meditate by fixing their minds on a place they had visited before. They needed to focus on going there, exploring the area, and then coming back.
- Xian Sheng explained that some of them would be able to travel there, while others might not. There were also those who might struggle to focus their minds on going at all. However, he emphasised that this was not a problem for the experiment.
- They simply needed to try to focus on going there. If they succeeded, they were to observe that there was a furniture shop to their left and a tyre shop to their right. Baixian would be the building in the middle, with the signboard reading Baixian Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, and it was the second unit from the edge of the building lot.
- Xian Sheng concluded his instructions and asked everyone to face the direction of his house to pray and begin their meditation.
(B) Father’s Day and Mother’s Day hold no significance.
- Xian Sheng wanted to discuss Mother’s Day, its origins, and, more specifically, what the followers think about the one-day celebrations of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
- Xian Sheng asked whether it is good to have Father’s Day and Mother’s Day. He immediately pointed out that these occasions are good for the food and beverage (F&B) industry, as it encourages adult children to dine out with their parents.
- In Xian Sheng’s opinion, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day should not be confined to one day a year but should be observed every day. He stressed that every day is Father’s Day and Mother’s Day. For this reason, Xian Sheng stated that Father’s Day and Mother’s Day held no significance for him.
- Xian Sheng reiterated that Father’s Day and Mother’s Day should be a daily affair, which is why the once-a-year celebrations hold no significance for him.
- He wanted to encourage the Baitiangong followers not to be misled or swayed by these celebrations.
- These types of celebrations could inadvertently take on a negative approach, as they promote the idea that adult children are only obligated to take their parents out for meals once a year, which cultivates a wrong way of thinking.
- The best approach would be to treat every weekend—Saturday and Sunday—as Father’s Day and Mother’s Day. Ideally, every non-working day, including Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, should be treated as Father’s Day and Mother’s Day. They should take their parents out for meals whenever they are not working. Xian Sheng explained that this approach would lead to positive actions.
- Xian Sheng reiterated that the commercialised Father’s Day and Mother’s Day celebrations have a negative and regressive impact. Instead, we should strive for positive and progressive action by not allowing these once-a-year occasions to deceive us into thinking that these two days alone are sufficient to show our appreciation for our parents.
- In the Baitiangong Spiritual Movement, Xian Sheng stated that we accept that every day is Father’s Day and Mother’s Day.
- Xian Sheng suggested that adult children who are financially well-off should take the opportunity to take their parents out for meals. However, for those who cannot afford it, they should be upfront with their parents and explain their situation honestly. They should not feel compelled to please their parents to avoid overextending themselves financially. Instead, they could choose to eat at home, buying a few modest groceries and preparing a simple meal for their parents themselves.
- Xian Sheng reminded them that they should spontaneously treat their parents to meals outside or cook for them during the weekends whenever possible, rather than waiting for the one-day annual celebrations of Father’s Day or Mother’s Day to show their appreciation. No matter their financial situation, if they are able to do it every weekend, they should strive to do so.
- However, if they are able to cook for their parents daily, they should strive to do so, as Father’s Day and Mother’s Day are every day of the year. Xian Sheng does not want the Baitiangong community to adopt the one-day-a-year Father’s Day and Mother’s Day.
- Xian Sheng advocated that anyone with sufficient money should take their parents on holiday at any time and not wait for Father’s Day or Mother’s Day to do so. He is firmly against the idea that adult children only take action to treat their parents during Father’s Day and Mother’s Day.
- Switching to the followers in their role as parents, Xian Sheng asked whether they had brought their children to Sunday meditation to listen to his sermons. He pointed out that if they didn’t, their children would miss his message and remain unaware of it. They would then have to go home and explain to their children what Xian Sheng said about every day being Father’s Day and Mother’s Day. Otherwise, their children might end up presenting their mother with a rose on Mother’s Day—or worse, a fake plastic one.
- Xian Sheng summarised that every day is Father’s Day and Mother’s Day. Whenever possible, adult children should take their parents out for a meal during the weekends if they can afford it.
- However, if they have just started work and do not have extra cash, they should not take advantage of their boyfriend or girlfriend by taking their parents out for meals together and expecting them to pay. Xian Sheng knows this has happened before.
- Ideally, they should use their hard-earned savings to treat their parents to meals on the weekends. However, if they are unable to do so every weekend, they could aim to treat their parents once a month instead.
- Xian Sheng holds high praise for anyone who can fulfil his aspirations.
(C) Mothers and their children have responsibilities to each other.
- Xian Sheng mentioned that some neglectful sons and daughters disappear during the weekends to spend time with their boyfriends or girlfriends, rather than spending quality time with their parents.
- In a moral dilemma posed by the question, “If the boat sank, who would you save, your mother or your girlfriend/wife?”, the neglectful son might claim they would save their mother. Yet, in reality, they would likely choose to save their girlfriend or wife instead. This is because they would prefer to avoid enduring their mother’s complaints about their neglectful behaviour.
- There are also negligent mothers who gamble day and night, disregarding their children’s welfare. Although gambling may be their private pastime and personal matter, they must not neglect their duty to care for their children.
- For example, if a mother is responsible for picking up her children after school, she must be punctual. If she becomes so engrossed in gambling that she is late, someone could pretend to be a friend of the mother and kidnap her children. Xian Sheng urged the followers to consider this scenario carefully. He advised mothers that if their children’s school ends at 1.00 pm, they should be waiting outside the school gate by 12.55 pm, five minutes earlier. He emphasised that it is far better to be five minutes early than five minutes late. By arriving early, mothers can observe their children as they walk from the classroom to the school gate. If they are even five minutes late, their children may be left standing alone at the gate, vulnerable to strangers. Someone who knows the mother and is aware of her habitual lateness could pose as her friend, deceive the children, and lead them away. Xian Sheng stressed that this is not a hypothetical situation but a real and dangerous possibility.
- Xian Sheng said that mothers have responsibilities towards their children, and it is a very heavy responsibility.
(D) A mother should foster a closer relationship with her children.
- In today’s society, some argue that both the father and mother should take on equal roles in their children’s upbringing.
- Xian Sheng disagreed with this viewpoint, stating that the mother is best suited for this role, not the father.
- We must determine who is best suited to foster a close relationship with the children. Xian Sheng stated that it is ideal for the mother to develop close bonds and care for the children, while the father works to provide for the entire family.
- In the event that both parents must work to support the family, it becomes even more critical for the mother to develop close relationships with the children.
(E) Is executing someone who has attempted suicide the appropriate course of action?
- Xian Sheng was reading from an article about the execution of Christina Marie Riggs in Arkansas, USA. He stated that she was sentenced to death by hanging, but the correct detail is that she was executed by lethal injection on 2 May 2000.
- Riggs had survived her unsuccessful suicide attempt. In executing her, the state effectively fulfilled her original intent to die, albeit through a different means.
- Riggs, a licensed nurse, had planned to commit suicide after killing her two children but failed in her attempt. She was subsequently convicted of murdering her children and later executed.
- Xian Sheng explained that by executing her, the state had effectively assisted her in achieving her intent. Therefore, Xian Sheng believed that executing her might not have been the most appropriate course of action. Although her execution was carried out for the murder of her two children, Xian Sheng argued that the punishment was not justified, as she had initially wanted to die, and the state ultimately fulfilled her wish.
- Xian Sheng agreed with some followers that executing her had inadvertently reduced her sin (as the sin of suicide is very grave), but that is a separate topic. The core argument is that she wanted to die but failed in her attempt, and the state ultimately fulfilled her dying wish. In this sense, she might even be seen as thanking the state for doing her a favour.
- Xian Sheng asked the followers how they felt about the contradictions in our world: in one instance, a mother is executed for the tragic act of killing her children, while in another, children celebrate and honour their mothers with gratitude on Mother’s Day.
- This was followed by the followers’ perspective that the state, in executing her, had effectively assisted a mother who wanted to die.
- Nevertheless, Xian Sheng noted that this was not the first instance of a mother killing her children.
(F) Mothers make up the majority of parents who kill their infants or young children.
- Xian Sheng knew a woman whom he described as a sadistic and malicious person, as she fed faeces to her son, shaved his eyebrows and ultimately killed him. Unfortunately, such detestable individuals exist in this world.
- Filicidal parents, those who deliberately kill their children, are present in every corner of the world, even in Malaysia. Similarly, the phenomenon of parents committing suicide after killing their children is a global occurrence with cases in Malaysia too.
- There are many would-be mothers, particularly young mothers, who give birth while sitting on a toilet bowl and subsequently flush their babies down the toilet. If the baby is not instantly flushed, they force the living child into the hole, resulting in their death. Xian Sheng remarked that they could have opted for an abortion or given the baby up for adoption if they did not wish to keep it. Unfortunately, they chose this tragic end for their infants. Some even wrap their babies in newspapers and discard them in dumpsters, leading to the babies suffocating to death.
- Xian Sheng asked how the followers view these tragic situations. He added that the majority of parents who kill their babies are mothers, not fathers.
- Some mothers kill their children out of spite for their unfaithful husbands, viewing it as an act of revenge since children are seen as the flesh and blood of their fathers. Xian Sheng explained that these mothers fail to understand the truth about souls. It is possible that the soul of the child she killed was that of her deceased mother, as she has no understanding when it comes to the nature of souls.
- Xian Sheng stated that only followers of Baitiangong are aware of this truth. Those who are not followers of Baitiangong would not know of it.
- These individuals do not understand the nature of the soul and, as a result, kill their children indiscriminately. Xian Sheng reiterated that mothers are primarily responsible for killing their children.
- Xian Sheng asked the followers if they had ever deeply considered why mothers would kill their children. What are the reasons behind such actions?
- Xian Sheng explained that some mothers are concerned about the welfare of their children after their death and therefore believe it would be better if they die together. Some mothers may harbour such thoughts because they fear their children would be mistreated by their guardians or by a new stepmother after their passing.
- Some mothers are psychologically overwhelmed by the fear that their children might suffer harm, mistreatment, or other tragedies if they are left behind. Unable to resolve their personal insecurities, they tragically kill their children before taking their own lives.
- Sometimes, children die in vain, innocent victims of marital or relationship conflicts between adults.
(G) Filicide and suicide.
- The author of the article that Xian Sheng was reading recounted an incident from Timur, Perak, where he had gone swimming in a pond and discovered the bodies of two children, a boy and a girl, drowned with their hands tied, alongside their mother. The tragedy bore similarities to the Riggs case in the US, involving both suicide and maternal filicide. The author emphasised that he remembered the incident clearly, as it was evident that the mother had tied her children’s hands, thrown them into the pond to drown, and then taken her own life by jumping in after them.
- The author explained that this mother, akin to Christina Maria Riggs, who was executed by lethal injection, found herself unable to care for her two children amid the devastating economic conditions of the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. This desperation ultimately led her to take their lives.
- The article went on to state that Christina Marie Riggs killed her five-year-old son, Justin, and her two-year-old daughter, Shelby. However, the author mixed up the details, incorrectly stating that Riggs had injected her daughter first, causing a severe reaction that led her to suffocate the child with a pillow. In reality, it was her son, Justin, who was injected with undiluted potassium chloride. The injection caused him to wake up screaming, prompting Riggs to smother him to death with a pillow. She did not inject her daughter but instead suffocated her with a pillow as well.

(H) Filicide, homicide, and failed suicide.
- Xian Sheng was reading another article about an incident that occurred a few days earlier, on 25 March 2000.
- A woman in Indiana, USA, was charged with seven counts of murder. Judy Kirby, aged 31, intentionally drove her car in the wrong direction on Indiana State Highway 67. She had four children in the vehicle—three of her own: Jacob, 5, Joney, 9, and Jordan, 12, along with her nephew, Jeremy Young, aged 10.
- Kirby’s car collided head-on with a van, resulting in the deaths of three individuals: the van’s driver, Thomas Reel, 40, his son Bradley, 13, and daughter Jessica, 14, as well as the four children in her car. Kirby, however, survived the crash.
- Xian Sheng questioned what would be the best outcome for the accident, remarking that it would have been preferable if she were the only one who had died. However, this was not an accident but a deliberate act of murder, resulting in the deaths of the four children in her car and the three individuals in the opposing van, as she had intentionally driven head-on into the vehicle.
- At the time this video was recorded on 14 May 2000, the case was still ongoing in court, and Kirby was 31 years old.
- Since the article did not explain the motive behind her actions, Xian Sheng remarked that she could have found another husband if her current one rejected her. He speculated that she was likely overwhelmed by the stress of raising her five children—her two older sons, Richie and Jason (not in the car), Jordan, 12, Joney, 9, and Jacob, 5. Evidently, Judy Kirby chose to let her three younger children perish rather than allow her husband to gain custody of them.
For further reference, see: Serial Killer Calendar – Judy Kirby.
(I) Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
- Xian Sheng read another article about an incident that occurred in Hong Kong in 1999. A mother forcibly seized her three children and threw them from their high-rise apartment, resulting in the death of all three.
- The reason the woman gave for her actions was that her husband was keeping another woman, a situation that tragically led to the death of the three innocent children.
- Xian Sheng remarked that it was an utterly foolish act on the woman’s part to throw her three children out of the apartment window. If her husband had taken up with another woman, she could have simply divorced him and sought another husband herself. There was no need to resort to throwing her three children to their deaths. He added that such cases, where a mother kills her children out of spite towards her husband, are not uncommon.
- The article noted that men are unable to analyse or comprehend the mentality of such mothers. Even psychologists struggle to analyse or understand the mental state of women who commit such heinous actions. How, then, can one conduct an in-depth study of such a mother’s mind?
- The article referenced an epic poem written by Homer. Xian Sheng mentioned that he had also read Homer’s works. Homer lived around the 9th century BCE, long before the time of Jesus. In The Odyssey, Book XI, Homer wrote the following in Ancient Greek, which translates to English as, “O woman, woman, when to ill thy mind is bent, all hell contains no fouler fiend.” This implies that when a woman’s mind is consumed by ill intent, her actions can exceed the evil of any fiend in hell.
For further reference, see: The Odyssey. Book XI. The Descent into Hell. - The author states that a woman’s wrath or anger is far more terrible than Hell itself. Xian Sheng noted that the modern equivalent of Homer’s ancient poem is the saying, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.”
- Xian Sheng recounted the three cases of filicide that highlight the horrifying and extreme actions of deranged mothers: the Hong Kong mother who threw her three children from her high-rise apartment, Judy Kirby, who intentionally caused a fatal car accident to kill her children and herself, and Christina Marie Riggs, who used lethal injections and later smothering to death her two children with a pillow. Each of these individuals acted with the deliberate intent to kill their own children.
(J) Sleep early if you are driving others the next day.
- Xian Sheng informed the followers that he had called Brother Tan An Bin that morning to share his concern: if Brother Tan were to drive his family—his wife, Sister Elaine, and their two children—without sufficient sleep, and they all perished in an accident, he could come to terms with that outcome. However, if Brother Tan were to die in the accident, while Sister Elaine, Brother Pit Tian, and Sister Mei Chun survived with severe injuries such as broken legs, and head trauma with loss of cognitive and visual abilities, it would place Xian Sheng in a far more difficult position. He then asked the followers if they agreed with his viewpoint.
- This is why those tasked with driving should sleep early to get sufficient rest. After speaking to Brother Tan about his concerns, Xian Sheng came across the article about Judy Kirby, who caused a car accident that killed all the occupants of her vehicle and the other van involved. Reflecting on this, Xian Sheng revisited the earlier scenario, emphasising how Brother Tan’s actions could place him in a difficult situation if Brother Tan were to perish in an accident, but Xian Sheng’s family survived—only to be left crippled and brain-dead for life.
- Drawing a parallel to the Judy Kirby case—where four children from her car and three from the opposing van lost their lives, but she survived—Xian Sheng questioned a scenario in which Brother Tan’s car crashed into another vehicle, killing Sister Elaine and his two children, along with three occupants from the other car. Yet, Brother Tan survived, simply because he had dozed off while driving.
- Xian Sheng presented a scenario for the followers to evaluate. The scenario involved a person who refuses to sleep despite needing to drive others out of town the next day. He provided the following example: “Imagine you are supposed to drive Xian Sheng to Singapore, but instead of resting, you stay up all night playing snooker or mahjong until the next morning. The following morning, while driving Xian Sheng, you doze off at the wheel.”
- Xian Sheng explained that a person cannot control when they might fall asleep while driving. He then asked, “What would happen if you got into an accident?” To emphasize the gravity of the situation, he dramatised the moment by making sounds mimicking a car crash.
- He continued, “In such a case, Xian Sheng might not die, but he wouldn’t truly be living either. He could end up paralysed for life, unable to preach anymore. The followers would have to carry him to the meditation hall, where he would simply sit and look at them, and they would look back at him.”
- Xian Sheng asked whether it was reasonable for the followers to pray to the CREATOR for Xian Sheng to regain his ability just because an idiot created the problem. Xian Sheng replied that it was not reasonable.
- Xian Sheng emphasised that one must uphold principles in life. If we know we have to drive others for an outstation trip the following day, we must sleep early. Otherwise, it would be better not to drive them at all.
- Xian Sheng expressed his strong desire to avoid a situation similar to Judy Kirby’s, where the irresponsible driver survives, but the innocent passengers perish.
(K) Children need proper education and nurturing to be humane beings.
- Xian Sheng referenced a statement by the renowned German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche in his 1886 book Beyond Good and Evil, which states, “Women are essentially unpeaceful, like cats, however well they may have trained themselves to seem peaceable. One must not fail to add that, when it comes to revenge, women are far more barbarous than men.”
- Nevertheless, Xian Sheng stated that we live in a society riddled with barbaric, cruel, and inhumane acts committed by both men and women. Therefore, women should not be singled out exclusively.
- Xian Sheng recalled an article he had read about the Indonesian military forces committing atrocious acts, including killing and raping women. Refer to 30A-30B-2000 D6. He cited an incident where a navy personnel used his fingers to pull out the intestines of a woman, causing her to die a brutal and horrifying death. He described these acts as utterly inhumane.
- Xian Sheng said he doesn’t even know how to describe such humans—beings who act with savagery, brutality, and depravity that even wild beasts do not exhibit, as evidenced by those who rape children as young as six and ten years old.
- Xian Sheng questioned how such people could possibly be born and what kind of mothers could give birth to them. Is it a deranged mother? Or could the mother be normal, while the child is born abnormal?
- Xian Sheng answered that it has nothing to do with physical birth. It is about educating the child. A child who is not nurtured through proper education and a good upbringing is likely to turn into such a person.
(L) You would fall for the Badger Game if you lack principles.
- Xian Sheng presented a scenario to Brother Tan An Bin to illustrate the meaning of principle. He explained that if a fair-skinned, beautiful woman were to stand naked next to a tree and tempt him to approach her, a person with principles would reject her advances, refuse to follow her anywhere, and, as a result, avoid any trouble.
- However, if he lacks principles when confronted with a naked woman, he would desire her regardless of the circumstances. This is because he is driven not by principles but by lust for sex. That is the kind of person he was and will always remain.
- Xian Sheng stated that many men fall victim to the Badger Game extortion scheme for this very reason. He explained that in the Badger Game, a victim is lured into a private room or hotel room under tempting circumstances. Once the victim is in a compromising position, a man pretending to be the husband bursts in, threatens violence, and then forces the victim to pay money to avoid further consequences.
- Xian Sheng mentioned that he knew of a follower of Baitiangong who was caught in such an extortion scheme and had to pay tens of thousands as compensation for the perceived wrongdoing.
(M) Children or no children, that is the question.
- There are some couples who wish to marry but do not desire to have children or start a family.
- Xian Sheng questioned the followers about the reasons behind these couples’ decisions. Some called them selfish, while others labelled them irresponsible for choosing not to have children.
- However, some people’s thinking is: why would they raise children in a dysfunctional society plagued by corruption and wrongdoing, where rape, murder, and all sorts of heinous crimes are rampant? This is the reason they do not want to start a family. Xian Sheng contended that this is their belief, as they do not wish to bring children into the world only to suffer under such conditions.
- While some people argue that they are selfish, others contend that they are highly considerate, as they refuse to let their children endure suffering in an oppressive society. It is not a matter of shirking the responsibilities of raising children.
- Humanity has reached a stage of advancement where people think they are very smart. Certain countries discourage childbirth, leading many married couples to forgo having children. This has resulted in a growing trend of couples opting not to have children. The goal of these nations is to attain zero population growth.
- In some countries, like China, parents are restricted to having only one child. If a couple gives birth to a girl, they might secretly drown the baby and try for a boy in their next pregnancy. Xian Sheng confirmed that these are real occurrences and mentioned that he had previously shared such incidents with the followers. This has led to a notable imbalance, with far more males than females in China. How does the country tackle this problem?
(N) My Harley Davidson is the real wife.
- Most people would argue that, in the classic lifeboat dilemma, they would save their mother. They justify this by stating that they only have one mother, whereas a wife could be replaced.
- This is the best answer a son could give, and every mother would love to hear it. They would be immensely pleased with their son’s response. Xian Sheng playfully suggests that the mother might declare she no longer expects to be taken out on Mother’s Day. Instead, she would take her son out for Son’s Day. The followers and Xian Sheng laughed heartily at the concept of “Son’s Day.” He jested that it would be a day to celebrate a mother’s good fortune in having such a wonderful son.
- Unfortunately, this is not always the case in the real world. Xian Sheng is aware of many such instances and shared one where a person, after getting married, abandoned both their father and mother. While some women treat their husbands as precious, some men treat their wives like gold or diamonds.
- Xian Sheng joked that he treats his Harley Davidson as his wife. One evening, after attending an obsequy at night, he stopped by a food stall to eat Chee Cheong Fun, a popular Cantonese dish made of rice noodle rolls. The stall owner, impressed by Xian Sheng’s large motorcycle, asked where he had found such an impressive bike. Xian Sheng quipped, “I didn’t find it—it’s my wife.” The stall owner burst into laughter, taken aback by the response, and pressed Xian Sheng for a good reason why he called his Harley his wife. Xian Sheng replied, “I don’t ride my wife every day, but this,” he said, pointing to his motorcycle, “I ride every single day. I can ride it from morning till night, and my legs never go weak.” The followers erupted in laughter upon hearing this. Xian Sheng continued, saying the stall owner laughed at his reply and agreed that he was absolutely right to call his Harley his wife—especially since he could ride it from dawn to dusk without ever getting weak at the knees.
- Xian Sheng remarked that his Harley is an exceptional wife because he can ride it from day to night without his legs growing weak. He teased that others would experience weak legs after a few rounds, which is why his Harley is his true wife.
- When the stall owner asked about his real-life wife, Xian Sheng replied that she was his second wife—his Harley was his first wife.
- Xian Sheng concluded by saying that it was all just for laughs. However, he noted that in our society, some people who drive luxury cars do not allow anyone to touch their cars.
(O) To some men, their car is more precious than their wives.
- Xian Sheng shared an example to illustrate how some men treat their cars more preciously than their wives. Many years ago in Taman Melawati, while driving, he accidentally grazed a car parked by the roadside. Xian Sheng waited by the dented car until the owner, a Malay lady, arrived. The lady was visibly distressed and explained that the car belonged to her husband, who would undoubtedly give her a severe scolding when she returned home. Xian Sheng asked if she was serious, and she reaffirmed that her husband would indeed reprimand her harshly for the damage to the car.
- The lady pleaded with Xian Sheng to quickly repair the damages. He explained that it would take two days—one day to knock the dented panels and sand them smooth, and another day to repaint the affected areas. He clarified to the followers that he hadn’t crashed into the car but had only scraped against it.
- Xian Sheng asked the lady who her husband was. She explained that he was an airline pilot and shared his details. Upon hearing the information, Xian Sheng realised that her husband’s boss was his friend and promptly informed her. It was a fortunate coincidence that her husband’s boss happened to be Xian Sheng’s friend.
- Xian Sheng called his friend on his mobile and said, “Hey Tajuddin, I’ve grazed your car.” Tajuddin replied that he didn’t mind. Xian Sheng clarified that it was actually his subordinate’s car that he had grazed and explained that the subordinate’s wife had expressed concern. She feared her husband would give her a severe scolding when he returned home and saw the damage. Tajuddin reassured Xian Sheng, telling him not to worry and that he would speak to his subordinate to ensure his wife wouldn’t be scolded, especially since it was his good friend who had accidentally grazed the car.
- Xian Sheng later discovered that the situation had indeed been resolved after he informed the pilot’s boss, who in turn instructed the pilot not to scold his wife. Xian Sheng reiterated how fortunate it was that the pilot’s boss happened to be his friend. He also mentioned that his friend had recently been promoted from the rank of Major to Colonel. Xian Sheng had known the Colonel for many years, as they had both lived in Taman Maluri, Cheras.
- Xian Sheng reiterated that the Colonel had informed his subordinate about the incident, explaining that his good friend had accidentally grazed the car. The Colonel specifically mentioned that Xian Sheng had requested the pilot not to scold his wife over the matter.
- This example illustrates how some men care more for their cars than they do for their wives. Xian Sheng posed the question: “Do people who care more for their cars than for their wives actually exist?”
- Someone mentioned that Brother KC Wong’s elder brother loved his car more than his wife, and everyone burst into laughter. Xian Sheng confirmed that there are indeed men who love their cars more than their wives. He added that if their wives accidentally scratched their cars, these men would scold them, as their cars are more precious to them than their wives. “There are all sorts of people in this world,” he remarked.
- Xian Sheng clarified that he was only joking when he referred to his Harley as his wife. He explained that people often asked him about his large Harley motorcycle, and he would crack this joke to give everyone a good laugh.
(P) Torn between mother and lover.
- Xian Sheng stated that the Mothers of today and the Mothers of the past are as different as the heaven and the earth.
- Xian Sheng explained that many people are unaware of how mothers in the olden days fed their children. Using his fingers to demonstrate, he showed how they would scoop food into their mouths, chew it, and then use their fingers to retrieve the food and place it into their children’s mouths. Xian Sheng had a hearty laugh over this type of ridiculous behaviour.
- The reason Xian Sheng gave for this practice was that mothers believed if their sons consumed their saliva, the sons would grow up listening to them rather than their future wives. Xian Sheng exclaimed loudly, “Ahhh, you don’t know about it, do you?” He then repeated the entire demonstration to ensure the followers understood the significance of that old-fashioned thinking. Once again, he explained that the reasoning behind this behaviour was that mothers wanted their sons to listen to them and not their wives. They blamed the wives for potentially causing their sons to abandon them, and they sought to pre-emptively counteract this influence by having their infant sons consume their saliva.
- A follower suggested an alternative explanation: some mothers might have tested the temperature of the food in their mouths to ensure it wouldn’t scald their baby’s mouth.
- Xian Sheng acknowledged the validity of the follower’s explanation, conceding that it was a more practical reason compared to the explanation that mothers use saliva to condition their sons’ thinking.
- Nevertheless, Xian Sheng maintained that all mothers want their sons to listen to them rather than their wives. He asked, “Which mother would want their sons to listen to their wives, or their daughters to listen to their husbands?”
- To illustrate his point, Xian Sheng asked for a show of hands, inquiring if any parents present wanted their children to listen to their spouses. He raised his own hand as an example, but when no one else followed suit, he quickly lowered his hand and laughed heartily, saying, “I don’t dare to keep my hand raised, since no one else did. I quickly lowered my hand because no one dared to raise theirs.”
- Xian Sheng concluded that no parents want their children to listen to their wives or husbands.
- However, he warned that such prevalent thinking could lead to disastrous outcomes. Sons or daughters often find themselves caught in the middle, torn between listening to their parents or their spouses. If the stress becomes overwhelming and leads to mental health issues, it could even result in extreme actions, such as suicidal tendencies like jumping off a building. Xian Sheng exaggerated his argument to emphasise the immense stress that arises when a son is constantly pulled in opposite directions by his mother and his wife, or when a daughter is similarly torn between her mother and her husband.
- Xian Sheng then questioned why fathers are never mentioned in such dilemmas. He replied that most fathers are seldom worried or bothered by such issues. He asked whether this is the norm in our present society, noting that fathers do not exhibit such concerns, as there is little they can do when it comes to their children’s decisions about divorce or remarriage.
- On the contrary, mothers have a completely different perspective. When it comes to divorce, mothers would discourage their children from pursuing it. When it comes to remarrying, they would encourage their children to think carefully.Mothers of today and the Mothers of the past
(Q) Regardless of the situation, continue to pray to the CREATOR.
- Xian Sheng mentioned that today, 14th May was Mother’s Day. He advised the followers not to be overwhelmed by the multitude of challenges faced by mothers in today’s society.
- If we have a wife who cares for our children, should we thank her? Xian Sheng said that was not necessary. Instead, we should quickly kneel and thank the CREATOR for blessing us with a wife who cares for our children.
- But what if we have a wife who gambles all day, neglecting the children and everything else? What should we do then? Xian Sheng laughed and said, “Thank TIAN GONG if my wife quickly decides to leave us.”
- A follower pointed out that the unintended consequence would be the children suffering without their mother. Xian Sheng suggested that they could find a replacement wife to care for the children. However, the follower replied that it is not so simple, and the children might still suffer. Xian Sheng then asked, “How should we deal with it then?”
- Life as a human is not easy. Whether we thank the CREATOR or not, life remains challenging. Nevertheless, Xian Sheng advised that we should still thank the CREATOR.
- Xian Sheng explained that despite family and personal challenges, it is important to thank the CREATOR, as doing so reminds us to practice “Think Good, See Good, Hear Good, Speak Good, and Do Good” during our twice-daily prayers. Through these prayers, we fulfil our spiritual responsibilities by praying for all saints in Heaven and seeking forgiveness for our ancestors. At the same time, Xian Sheng reminded us that we also have human responsibilities in this world too.
(R) Who wants two husbands?
Some women voiced their discontent with Xian Sheng’s principle of permitting a married man to take on another woman within Baitiangong. They argued that such a practice was not right for the Spiritual Movement.
Xian Sheng remained unfazed by their objections. With a cynical laugh, he remarked that if they felt so strongly about women also being permitted to take on an additional spouse, they ought to go to Eastern Amazon.
Quoting a news article, Xian Sheng noted that the indigenous tribes of Eastern Amazon do not wear clothing, and this includes the women. (Xian Sheng did not specifically mentioned the name of the tribe. However, it is highly likely that Xian Sheng was referring to the Awa Guaja tribe.)
The tribe hunted and consumed monkeys as part of their diet. They would raise the orphaned baby monkeys as surrogate children, breastfeeding them with their own milk. Xian Sheng held up the news article in question for the followers to see.
The tribe is a matriarchal society, with women occupying leadership positions. As the senior matriarch of her tribe, she may have as many as four husbands, while other women, whose marriages she oversees, are entitled to up to two husbands.
In a humorous gesture, Xian Sheng requested the female followers to indicate by a show of hands if they were interested in having two husbands. His light-hearted recommendation was met with cheerful laughter from the group.
Xian Sheng explained that the tribe lives in the rainforests of the Eastern Amazon in Brazil. Their leader is a woman, who presides over disputes or conflicts among the members of the tribe.
In a society where a woman leads the tribe, it is permissible for women to have two husbands. Xian Sheng remarked that if any female followers wished to have two husbands, he would not only recommend it but also go so far as to buy plane tickets for them to fly to Brazil the very next day and settle there.
Once again, Xian Sheng reiterated that the tribe members, both men and women, are unaccustomed to wearing clothes due to the hot and humid climate. They consume monkey meat, and after killing the mother monkey, women with breastmilk breastfeed the orphaned baby monkeys. Xian Sheng held up the news article, displaying a photo of a baby monkey suckling on a woman’s breast. He read aloud the title of the article: “Monkey Suckling Culture.”
Once again, Xian Sheng stated that any woman who wished to have two husbands could go and find them there. He was responding to the complaints raised by many female followers, who argued that since men were allowed to have two spouses, they too wanted the same opportunity. If they truly desired to have two husbands, Xian Sheng not only recommended it but also offered to pay for their plane tickets to fly there.
Xian Sheng raised a question about mothers in polyandrous societies, where a woman has multiple husbands. Her children would form a varied mix, as they would have no way of knowing which of the four men was their true biological father.
In a tribe led by a woman, she can grant women the right to have two husbands. In closing, Xian Sheng repeated his offer, asking if any female followers wished to have two husbands, he would provide them with plane tickets to go there.
(S) Possibility of AIDS.
The topic Xian Sheng wished to discuss today was “Resilience”. He characterised it as the ability of an individual to rise again after being weighed down by life’s difficulties.
However, when he stumbled upon the newspaper article about a woman in the Eastern Amazon with multiple husbands, he seized the opportunity to discuss it.
Xian Sheng asked the followers to believe him when he said that AIDS exists in that location. The newspaper article highlighted that the area was afflicted by numerous diseases. The research was carried out by an overseas journalist, and the Malaysian newspaper simply republished the article from the overseas publication.
Although the article mentioned multiple types of diseases, it did not specifically reference AIDS, as Xian Sheng noted that it had not yet been fully researched. The study highlighted that most of the tribe members suffer from several diseases simultaneously, including tuberculosis, pneumonia, bone-related illnesses, and a host of other conditions. However, the possibility of AIDS being prevalent in the region remains unexplored in their research.
Xian Sheng remarked with a hint of cynicism that the place is only suitable for women or wives who desire to have two husbands, but not for men.
(T) Born of a mother, but not taught by a mother.
Xian Sheng recounted that Brother Loy had earlier explained to him that his son was neither racing nor colliding with another vehicle nor was his car overturned in the accident. His car had merely veered off the road and landed in the ditch.
Xian Sheng stated that there is a strong possibility the accident was staged. He questioned whether such a scenario was possible and confirmed that it indeed was.
Xian Sheng cautioned the followers to be wary of staged accidents when driving. He urged them to take extra care if they saw tow trucks by the roadside, as some operators might pour lubricants onto sharp bends to cause accidents. When asked whether such unethical individuals exist, the followers instantly replied that they do.
These individuals are willing to cause harm and even death to others just to make a living. These tow truck personnel exhibit a twisted mindset, using their twisted reasoning to exploit situations for money. Therefore, everyone must remain extremely cautious and vigilant.
These unscrupulous tow truck operators were active for a period in the past in Damansara. It was reported in the newspaper. They poured oil at the sharp corner of the road, causing cars to lose control, swerve, and crash. The tow truck operators would then promptly arrive at the accident scene.
Certain tow truck companies work in partnership with owners of old vehicles. These drivers deliberately drive at a slow pace and then abruptly stall their cars, forcing the vehicle behind to crash into them. They would claim that they were rear-ended, insisting that the other driver must pay for the damages to their vehicle, on top of the costs of repairing their own car. The tow truck would promptly arrive at the scene. All of these incidents are staged accidents.
This is why we must be very cautious when driving. In areas where these tow truck companies operate, they would form close partnerships with the police.
Xian Sheng mentioned that he has witnessed numerous instances of this occurring in our society, where tow truck operators establish close partnerships with traffic police.
Once again, Xian Sheng reminded the followers to drive very cautiously if they notice any tow trucks by the roadside. He warned that these tow trucks often collaborate with old vehicles, advising everyone to maintain a safe distance from such cars, as their drivers might intentionally brake hard to cause a collision. They would then claim that since the other vehicle crashed into them, the driver must pay for the damages. This would be immediately followed by the arrival of tow trucks to tow their car for repairs.
All manner of deceitful and unethical behaviour can arise when people resort to wrongful ways of making a living. Xian Sheng remarked that these individuals are “people born of a mother but not taught by a mother.”
At the root of it all, it is about mothers. This is why mothers are very important. Xian Sheng emphasised that since mothers are so important, those in Baitiangong should treat Mother’s Day as an everyday occasion, not just a once-a-year event.
