(A) Political examination [13:52 – 15:01]
  1. Xian Sheng announced that Bro Yong Koon Sang age 64 had completed his examination in life. 
  2. A person lives to go through an examination in life.
  3. There are various types of examinations in life. 
  4. In our political examination, if we voted for a good politician, we reap the good benefits. If we voted for a bad politician, we suffer the consequences. That is our political examination in life.
  5. Xian Sheng: If you do not want to join a political party, then do not talk so much about politics. If you want to talk politics, then join a political party and talk there. That is your examination in life. 
  6. Xian Sheng explained that we are hypocrites if we only dare to talk politics behind the scenes and not in the front. (It is a common sight to see people actively contributing to noise pollution by commenting, complaining and criticising national politics in the coffee shops but contributing absolutely nothing to the nation by joining a political party and talking in a place where it really matters.) 
  7. Xian Sheng tells them to follow in his example where he voices his opinions openly and publicly regardless of whoever is listening including the then PM Dr Mahathir.
(B) People who have eyes but are blind [17:07 – 21:43]
  1. Xian Sheng stated that humans living on Earth are gifted with a pair of eyes (that not only served to give us sight but have the ability to discern truth from falsity, right from wrong and reasoning from nonsensicality.) 
  2. Xian Sheng asked that we use our eyes to really see. Use our eyes to evaluate Xian Sheng standing before us.
  3. Are we incapable of seeing whether Xian Sheng is a good person or a bad person?
  4. We (Xian Sheng and Baixian) have funded approximately RM100k for China’s preaching activities. Xian Sheng personally funded RM86k. Xian Sheng asked if we know the reason behind this. 
  5. Xian Sheng said that he could have used his personal RM86k to travel to holiday destinations around the world by aeroplanes and ships but he did not.
  6. The reason is that Xian Sheng wanted the people in China to pray to the CREATOR. The Chinese in Malaysia are blind and unable to see. Xian Sheng hopes that the Chinese in China are not blind and can see – that Baitiangong is correct and right.
  7. The CREATOR gave us eyes and if we are unable to use our eyes to see what is correct and right, that is truly a great loss. 
  8. There will come a time when we depart (from this life) and our eyes will no longer be able to see. However, the soul knows the truth.1
  9. Bro Yong Koon Sang does not treat the followers as his brothers and sisters in life. However, in his death, the followers still treat him as our brother. That is the important point here. That is what Baitiangong is all about. We kneel down to the CREATOR and we pray for forgiveness of his sins and if deserving, to give him a place in Heaven.2 
  10. Xian Sheng said that he woke up at 6.00 am that morning and prayed for Bro Yong. If we are unable to use our eyes to see if Xian Sheng is a good person or a bad person, then that is truly our own greatest loss.
  11. Xian Sheng: It would be better for you to be born blind that to have eyes that cannot see.
  12. The CREATOR allowed some people to be born blind while the majority are born with sight in our society because this is all part of our examination in life.
  13. Xian Sheng said that he has never seen blind people falling into drains although they cannot see the drains, but those with eyes frequently fall into drains. The reason is that they have eyes but do not know how to see. The blind use their cane to find their way in life, but the sighted who have eyes do not use them to see what’s important in life. Xian Sheng emphasised the great loss for them.
  14. What is wrong with Baitiangong? (Xian Sheng asking an open question to the Chinese Malaysians who cannot see the right and good in Baitiangong.) 
  15. Xian Sheng gave the example of Sis Pan Mei Lan requesting him to pray for his son who was involved in a serious car accident in Australia and Xian Sheng prayed to the CREATOR not to take his life and let him recover quickly. Sis Pan Mei Lan also ask him to pray for her husband who was in a lot of pain. In Singapore, Sis Pan’s sister Sis Mei Lan requested Xian Sheng to pray for the peaceful passing of her son who was unable to wake up from his coma. Xian Sheng prayed for the peaceful passing of her son so that he would not have to suffer anymore. Upon returning to Malaysia, Xian Sheng got the news that his son had passed away. (Xian Sheng has always tried to fulfil the request of the followers and prayed for them on their behalf. So what is wrong with Baitiangong?)
  16. What is important is that we pray to the CREATOR to beg for our requests to be fulfilled.
  17. Xian Sheng: What is your examination in life? 
    1. Pray to the CREATOR.
    2. Fear nothing except the CREATOR.
    3. Think Good, See Good, Hear Good, Speak Good and Do Good.
  18. Xian Sheng commented on the 3rd Spiritual Guideline
    1. On See Good – you have eyes but you do not know how to see.
    2. On Think Good – you do not know how to differentiate what’s good and what’s bad.
    3. On Speak Good – you have mouth but you do not know how to ask. You have to speak the truth.
(C) In death, the truth shall be revealed [25:42 – 28:31]
  1. Xian Sheng said that as a son, if we do not even help our own father, who would we help? If our father had passed away, what would we do for him?
  2. Xian Sheng is not related to Bro Yong but he still prays to the CREATOR for his forgiveness and for him to be given a good place in Heaven if he is deserving, what more of his son.
  3. Bro Yong may have treated Xian Sheng as his enemy in life, but Xian Sheng treats him as a brother today. Bro Yong had passed away and his soul is now fully aware that Xian Sheng and the followers prayed for his soul. 
  4. Once a person passed away, the soul brings along the consciousness. 
  5. Xian Sheng explained that our dreams can seem so real sometimes because our souls can leave our bodies when we dream. And when we woke up from our dreams, we can remember the details vividly. This could be due to the fact that our soul has left our body when we slept. If we were to cut our fingers in our dream, we would wake up feeling the residual pain from the cut. That is our soul (and demonstrates that our soul brings along our consciousness with it.)
  6. In Baitiangong, we should not lie to a person who had passed away. We do not burn the various joss paper paraphernalia like hell money, joss paper houses, joss paper luxurious cars, etc. Why would the deceased want these joss paper hell money when in life they do not even want a single cent of these hell money. They would even scold you for gifting them these hell money. So why would they want it in death?
  7. The reality however is that these joss papers paraphernalia are useless (in both worlds) and only to fool gullible people.  
  8. Xian Sheng: We should not lie to the living as that is wrong. And if we were to lie to the deceased, that is more wrong. That is downright cheating. 
  9. Xian Sheng incarnated as a human to strive together with us to change our wrongful ways of cheating and lying in life and to educate us that our soul is a reality despite the body being very real.
(D) Economic, social, cultural and spiritual examination [28:32 – 32:55]
  1. Xian Sheng: Ask yourself if you are undergoing an examination in life or not.
  2. Earlier Xian Sheng talked about our political examination. For our economic examination, Xian Sheng asked:
    1. If you are poor, how would you earn your money?
    2. If you are rich, how would you spend your money?
  3. Xian Sheng: Ask yourself if the above is your examination in life.
  4. There are prodigals that squandered away their money.  
  5. Bro Ooi Chai Lee told Xian Sheng earlier that an acquaintance from the project worksite that he worked on had just completed his subcontract work earning him a tidy sum of money. He took a bunch of his friends to Thailand to look for prostitutes and they came back with AIDS. The whole lot of them are now oozing pus from their hands. Bro Chai Lee told the Project Manager on the worksite that if he allowed the HIV-positive subcontractor to go to work, he would terminate his contract with them. He also went around warning others to be careful of that person as he has AIDS. 
  6. Xian Sheng said that Bro Chai Lee did the right thing to warn others because they could contract AIDS too if their open wounds are exposed to the HIV-positive person’s touch.
  7. There are many situations where a person is examined on how they spend their money. That is their examination in life. If they spent their money wrongly, they would suffer the consequences. 
  8. We also have our social examination to determine how we treat each other. 
  9. Xian Sheng does not bother about the ethnicity or nationality of a person. He treats Indians, Malays, Germans, French, British, Americans, Chinese, etc as brothers and sisters. There are people who only treat their own ethnic race as brothers and sisters. 
  10. That is Baitiangong understanding of social interactions (the CREATOR created the human race with a multitude of racial and ethnic diversity to see how we treat each other.)
  11. We have to understand our cultural examination. As a cultural person, it is important that we accept the (good) cultural practices of others, but not the demeaning culture. 
  12. Xian Sheng gave the example that he does not demean idolaters as he was once an idolater too. Today, he is a Baitiangong person and talks about the good of Baitiangong. There are many followers at the obsequies that were once idolaters but have since converted to Baitiangong. 
  13. Besides being an idolater in the past, Xian Sheng was also a Christian. He was nearly proselytised into Islam too. Xian Sheng said he was fortunate that he did not convert to a Muslim as he would not be able to leave Islam (In Malaysia, Muslims that seek to renounce Islam face legal obstacles, societal push-back, and harsh penalties.) However, as a Christian, he has no issues with his renouncement of Christianity.
  14. Xian Sheng has a strong Protestant background. He joked about how he and Sis Lucy – who was a Catholic – would always try to kill each other – at mahjong. 
  15. Xian Sheng emphasised that today, he is in Baitiangong but he has experienced the cultural life as an idolater and as a Christian. This demonstrates that a person’s examination is constantly progressing.
  16. As for our spiritual examination, we have the option to accept what we believe to be spiritually right. We can choose not to believe in anything too. However, we must not demean others for their choices.
  17. Xian Sheng said that he was once an object of severe ridicule (by the media, the temple leaders, the Christian groups and politicians) but it does not matter to him. The Chinese have proverbs like 天有眼 (Heaven sees all) and 天无绝人之路 (Heaven does not restrict one’s path) which was why Xian Sheng won all his court cases.
(E) Our time on Earth is very short [37:16 – 39:00]
  1. Xian Sheng knew that the time has come for him to drop all his previous pursuits and step forward to preach to us the reality that “We live to go through an examination in life and we die to live”. (The previous segment talks about Xian Sheng’s active involvement in the political arena and why he left that career behind.) 
  2. Our life is an examination with time passing by so fast that in the blink of an eye, we have already grown old. 
  3. With time passing us by so fast, why do we still refuse to change to praying to the CREATOR?
  4. Xian Sheng: Jesus and Prophet Muhammad also kneel down to pray. What’s so special about you people? 
  5. Xian Sheng himself also kneels down to pray. 
  6. Xian Sheng said that he was willing to fund RM86k of his personal money for China’s preaching activities and asked if anyone present would be willing to fork out RM86k.
  7. Xian Sheng said that he is willing to fund China’s preaching activities because many Malaysian Chinese are blind. He hoped that we can find China Chinese with wide-open eyes. 
  8. Preaching in China is not cheap. Xian Sheng said that he and Baixian have funded over RM100k to send followers to preach there.
  9. Xian Sheng said that the Baixian people have a role too as they worked hard to earn the money for Xian Sheng to fund China’s preaching activities.
  10. As for Malaysia’s preaching activities to the Chinese, Xian Sheng said that it should continue on.
  1. In life, we may turn a blind eye to the truth due to our prejudice, ignorance or fear but our soul keeps a record of all our actions and thoughts. When we face judgement upon death, we cannot claim ignorance of the truth as an excuse. If we failed to use the gifts of our eyes and our mind to discern the truth, then we have failed in our examination in life.
  2. Xian Sheng taught us Baitiangong in order for us to save our souls and for us to help our brothers and sisters save their souls. We treat everyone regardless of their religion, ethnicity and status as brothers and sisters because the CREATOR created all our souls.
