(A) Silent Meditation. Sit on our own mats. [00:27 – 07:53]
  1. Xian Sheng mentioned in the past that we can request to see anything we like in our meditation, but we must maintain a blank mind and not think about our requests during meditation. This is very important.
  2. We can request to see Heaven and Hell or anything we desire. But we have to remember that we are not allowed to think about our requests during meditation.
  3. If we kept thinking about our requests, our meditation could turn into our imagination instead.
  4. The best type of meditation is when we lose all our consciousness. Our consciousness leaves our body and we are unable to hear anything from our surroundings like chickens clucking, dogs barking, geese honking and people talking.
  5. To achieve this type of meditation, everyone has to sit on their own mat and not share mats like presently. The mats have to be cut into smaller pieces for individuals. Everyone has to sit separately and far from one another.
  6. Family members and relatives should not sit next to each other. Xian Sheng pointed at 2 spots far from each other and said the husband should sit over here while the wife sits over there. Xian Sheng does not want anyone with the slightest hint of a relationship to be seated next to each other. Everyone should be seated separately and spaciously by themselves in meditation.
  7. Then we would be able to meditate in peace without any thoughts of familial ties. We come to meditate alone.
  8. The soul does not a wife, no husband and no relationship whatsoever. To reach the level of our soul meditating, one has to meditate alone without thinking of any familiar ties to another person.
  9. Xian Sheng asked if the followers understood what he had just said. If there are any traces of thoughts with anyone whatsoever, the meditation would not be successful.
  10. We have to meditate until our soul meditates, just like we have to pray until our soul prays too. That is what meditation is truly about.
  11. Xian Sheng lamented the way the followers are sharing mats, sitting next to their family members and sitting close to each other. How will they be able to enter meditation? The slightest of movement will cause the rustling of the plastic mats disturbing the person adjacent to them.
  12. In silent meditation, we can even hear another person’s breath and that is why Xian sheng wants us to meditate until we are unable to hear anything.
  13. Xian Sheng reminded the followers to remember the hand gesture as explained in 04A-2000 A10  as they would occassionally forget how to.
  14. Xian Sheng reminded the followers to bring their own mats from next week onwards.
(B) A deeper level of meditation [12:50 – 15:33, 27:00 – 27:38]
  1. We want to pray to the CREATOR until our soul prays to the CREATOR too. Similarly, we want to meditate until our soul meditates too.
  2. And if we want our soul to meditate, then what we are doing here is not appropriate at all. Xian Sheng told the followers last week to sit on their own mats, but the followers are still sharing mats. Xian Sheng asked if the followers are capable of change.
  3. Xian Sheng specifically requested last week that all family members: sons and daughters who brought their parents, siblings, spouses and in-laws, must sit separately from each other. This is because Xian Sheng does not want anyone to think of their loved ones during meditation but treat themselves as a lone individual. When we meditate, our thoughts must be completely blank.
  4. We can request to see anything when we pray to the CREATOR before meditating. We can request to see Heaven and Hell or a deceased member. But the moment we sat down for meditation, we must never ever think about our request. This is important for us to remember.
  5. Our meditation has now progressed to a deeper level. If we truly wanted to meditate, Xian Sheng will lead us to a deeper progression week after week.
  6. Once we have achieved a deep level of meditation, Xian Sheng would lead us up the hill next to his house to meditate. Everyone would be sitting separately and far away from each other. The is a wide open area at the top of the hill. Xian Sheng showed a thumbs up and said that would be an ideal situation.
  7. Xian Sheng pointed in a random direction and ask everyone to face that direction to pray and make their request before sitting down to meditate.
  8. Xian Sheng warned that he would bring a scissor next week to cut up the mats of anyone sitting together as the followers do not seem to want to listen and remember his advice.
(C) Lesson in Astronomy. Part 1 [15:39 – 22:22]
  1. Xian Sheng pointed at the southern sky and asked if anyone notice two bright stars when they arrived.
  2. As only one follower acknowledged, Xian Sheng told the followers that it is not right that they were not aware of their surroundings.
  3. If we were to look at the other stars close to them, they would form a cross-shaped asterism commonly known as the Southern Cross that is used on the Australian flag.
  4. The Crux constellation1 is very important and personnels from the military, navy and airline pilots have to know them by heart.
  5. In the event that we lose our compass, we would have to travel at night using this constellation which lies to the south for direction.
  6. If we directly face the Southern Cross, we would be facing south. Our right hand would be pointing to West and our left hand pointing to East.
  7. Before we sleep, we would orient ourselves in the direction we want to travel to and sleep with our feet pointing in that direction. Upon waking up, we would pack up and head in that direction.
  8. In the morning, we can orient ourselves using the sun that rises from the east.
  9. Baitiangong followers need to have knowledge as they would be useless without it. Xian Sheng taught the followers all forms of knowledge but they have to remember them.
  10. Xian Sheng asked if anyone notice a shooting star too.
  11. A shooting star is actually a rock called a meteor after it entered our atmosphere.
  12. Earth is protected by our atmosphere and the meteor would burn up in the mesosphere.
  13. If the meteor did not burn completely, the force of the impact from a football-size meteorite could decimate the whole house.
  14. Xian Sheng saw the shooting star even though he was facing away from it but the followers did not notice it because they do not pay attention to their surroundings.
(D) Lesson in Astronomy. Part 2 [23:46 – 26:49]
  1. Xian Sheng said Astronomy is very important to us. The search for intelligent extraterrestrial life that led to the formation of SETI which is the acronym for search for extraterrestrial intelligence is part of Astronomy.
  2. Astronomers discovered 25 planets that are Earth-like 2 since 1995 but these planets are beyond our reach because they would need to travel for 300 years at 93 million mph to reach it.
    Distance = Time x Speed.
    Distance = 2.628e6 hours x 93e6 miles/hour
    = 2.44e14miles or 41.5 lightyears.
See List of exoplanets discovered before 2000 for possible planets Xian Sheng was referring to.
  3. 1 Astronomical Unit (AU) which is the distance from the Sun to Earth which is about 93 million miles.
  4. Xian Sheng lamented, “You people do not have the knowledge because you do not read.”
  5. The diameter of the Earth is about 12,000+ kilometres or the circumference is 40,000+ kilometres which meant that Xian Sheng had travelled around the Earth in his Harley Davidson motorcycle as his odometer showed 44k+ kilometres.
(E) Learning deep meditation [28:30 – 47:07]
  1. Morning meditation starts at 7:00 am sharp.
  2. Do not make any noises during meditation.
  3. Followers should sit on their own individual mats. Xian Sheng pointed at a mat currently occupied by 3 followers and said it can only be cut into 2 separate pieces and not 3 pieces. The extra space behind the person meditating is to accommodate their head and body when they lie down during meditation.
  4. Xian Sheng will teach the followers deep meditation.
  5. Firstly, the followers must practice separation. Xian Sheng asked them whether they remembered what he said to them during the Spiritual Retreats
    – parents and their children should not attend together,
    – spouses should not attend together,
    – siblings should not attend together.
    – But if they do attend together, they should disregard their family ties and treat each other as brothers and sisters3. Children should treat their parents as brothers and sisters, spouses treat each other as brothers and sisters, and that applies to siblings too. As the Chinese languages have different terms for elder brother (哥哥) and younger brother (弟弟), Xian Sheng said that everyone should call each other elder brother (哥哥) or elder sister (姐姐)and not younger brother (弟弟) or younger sister (妹妹).
  6. Secondly, to prevent children from making noise during meditation, they should join the classes for children upstairs. But for morning meditation, parents should take turns attending so that one of them can take care of their children at home.
  7. For morning meditation, family members, spouses and siblings cannot sit next to each other. They must be separated from each other as Xian Sheng does not want them to be reminded of sitting next to each other during meditation.
  8. That is how we meditate until we train our soul to meditate as well. This is the first time Xian Sheng mentioned training our soul to meditate.
  9. The followers need to advance their knowledge in Baitiangong and there are many things about deep meditation they need to know and learn. Xian Sheng wanted to start teaching them. Sunday morning meditation requires discipline.
  10. Xian Sheng warned the followers this morning that he would be incrementally stricter with them. Those who came late will have to stand at the corner and are not allowed to participate in meditation. They can only see in silence.
  11. To learn deep meditation, one must practise discipline. These disciplines include:
    – Punctuality. Reach before 7.00 am.
    – Sit separately from family members, boyfriend and girlfriend, so that their thoughts will not be distracted by each other.
    – Sit on our own mats measuring 3.5 feet wide and 6 feet long. Do not share our mat with anyone. Sit far apart from everyone. The minimum distance is two arm’s lengths from the adjacent person.
    – We can request to see anything we like during meditation. See 04A-2000 A2-A6. Make our request when we pray and then sit down to meditate. During meditation, do not think about our request but maintain a blank mind as we could mistake our imagination for our meditation. Xian Sheng wants the followers to experience seeing in their meditation and not imagine what they would like to see. We can request to see our deceased husband or deceased wife. Xian Sheng told the followers very frankly that once a person dies, all ties to their families are severed as their soul will lose all those memories.
    – Follow the proper hand gesture as explained in 04A-2000 A10.
    – Do not be afraid if we feel a force pushing us to lie down. Do not be afraid if we see a bright light shining at us. The light will temporarily blind us depriving us of all our senses so that we would lie down on our mat. The chances for our soul to leave our body is higher in those instances.
    – Do not bring children to morning meditation as they would disturb those in meditation by making noises and running around.
    – Those who have completed their meditation must remain seated and refrain from talking and walking. They must remain absolutely silent until everyone completes their meditation.
  12. Silent meditation like those practised during Spiritual Retreats is reserved for morning meditation. For evening meditation, followers can request for miracles or seek spiritual healing. Xian Sheng specifically does not want anyone seeking spiritual healing during the morning meditation. We must keep them separated.
  13. Silent meditation is more suited for the morning session as the air is cooler and we would not be sweating like when we meditate under the evening sun. We must select a suitable time of the day and place to meditate. Meditating at Genting Highlands is not suitable as the environment is too cold. Xian Sheng joked about followers shaking like mediums in a trance during meditation at Genting Highlands, but they were actually shivering from the cold.
(F) Human Evolution [47:31 – 54:00]

Xian Sheng was referring to TIME Aug 23, 1999. Vol. 15. All In The Family.

  1. Archaeologists started digging the Earth and discovered fossils that are related to humans. There are however no complete fossils, only skulls or partial skeletons.
  2. Are these the descendants of humans? Scientists say apes evolved into humans. Is that the case? There is no definite conclusion.
  3. The fossils discovered 1.7 million to 250,000 years at Trinil, Indonesia are believed to be Homo Erectus, the first humans to walk upright.
  4. Homo sapiens are discovered between 1 million and 100,000 years in Africa and could possibly be related to humans.
  5. This is very important for people to know. People still do not know how humans came to be.
  6. They – paleontologists, paleoanthropologists and archaeologists – said it is a possibility. Possibility means not 100% certain.
  7. Xian Sheng mentioned in the past that humans are created by the CREATOR as a human being. However, scientists think that apes gradually evolved into humans.
  8. Early humans resemble apes, but they are not animals like apes but humans from the start.
  9. That is why scientists do not dare to make a definite conclusion.

(G) Origins of the Chinese people [54:04 – 06B-2000 20:20]

Xian Sheng was referring to TIME Asia January 17, 2000. Vol. 155 No. 2 Rewriting Prehistory

  1. Xian Sheng has an article related to the Chinese people. Xian Sheng specifically stated that the article is related to the followers of Chinese origin but not him.4
  2. A team of researchers concluded that Chinese people originated from Africa.
  3. Is it possible that all people originated from Africa? That is very difficult to say. This is due to the fact that fossils are found at various locations in the world. Xian Sheng referred to the earlier article he read.
  4. 4.4 million years ago, a tooth was found in Aramis, Ethiopia. Neanderthalensis fossils were found in Germany. Other fossils were found in Spain, Indonesia and Kenya.
  5. They are unable to confirm where humans originated from. Not all humans are necessarily from Africa. But they concluded that the Chinese people originated from Africa.
  6. China’s ancient tradition state that Chinese people were initially indigenous people. A sage came along and taught them how to build roofs over their heads. The last of these sages was Huangdi or the Yellow Emperor. The tradition claimed that Huangdi is the father of Chinese civilisation.
  7. However, before Huangdi, an earlier myth tells of a deity known as Fuxi, but the author did not conduct a thorough research. [The myth tells how the ancestors of the Chinese people Nüwa and Fuxi created humanity by mixing their own blood with the yellow mud of the Yellow River.]
  8. According to Nationalistic Chinese researchers, human evolution started in China. This is derived from the unearthing of a fossil tooth in 1921 belonging to a subspecies of Homo Erectus dubbed the Peking Man. Based on these findings, the researchers claim that modern humans evolved independently in China. The Chinese people and not the indigenous people from the myth are closest relatives to modern humans.
  9. A consortium of seven institutions in China (with the Human Genetics Center at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston) conducted detailed genetic profiles of 28 out of 56 ethnic groups in China. See Wikipedia. List of ethnic groups in China. The study revealed that the Chinese people share similar genetic materials with the African people. This is the result of the recent research. (Chinese Human Genome Diversity Project in 1998)
  10. The DNA result is conclusive and inescapable. The Chinese Human Genome Diversity Project tells us that the findings of the earlier Chinese researchers are all wrong.
  11. China even claims that Chinese people (Homo Erectus) are the closest to modern humans (Homo sapiens) from their finding of the fossils of Peking Man.
  12. The Human Genome Diversity Project (HGDP) started in 1990 which is quite recent when compared to the unearthing of Peking Man in 1921.
  13. The DNA from the 28 ethnic groups are sampled randomly among the population. (the 28 ethnic groups comprise more than 90% of the country’s population). The conclusion is that Chinese people originated from Africa. For example, some Chinese people have short curly hair like Bro Lim.
  14. The modern human came from Africa. Most of the people in Asia also have genes that prove that they descended from Africa.
  15. The researchers are fortunate to have DNA as it allows them to conduct these investigations. The results from DNA are irrefutable evidence while China’s ancient tradition is unsubstantiated.
  16. However, China does have fossil evidence from the unearth Peking Man.
  17. Jin Li is a professor at the National Human Genome Center and Fudan’s Institute of Genetics in Shanghai. Prof Jin led the Chinese researcher in the Chinese Human Genome Diversity Project to study genetic markers of DNA known as microsatellites which led him to theorise that modern humans entered China from the south around 40,000 to 60,000 years ago.
  18. Prof Jin’s study contradicts the theory that the Peking Man who lived 500,000 years ago (revised to 780,000 years ago) is the ancestor of the Chinese people that eventually evolved into homo sapiens. As the theory is not valid, China’s history has to be amended.
  19. Chinese researcher Wu Xinzhi, a Chinese paleoanthropologist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology (IVPP) in Beijing does not accept the above DNA study that supports the “Out of Africa” theory. Wu argued about the lack of advanced tools as evidence of the migration of modern humans into China. Why is there no evidence of advanced tools in the excavations as opposed to those found in the Middle East excavations?
  20. Wu used a human skull from his Beijing office that showed that the face and nose are flat and the upper front teeth are shovel-shaped. Wu said 90% of modern Chinese people have such facial features. Wu said if he were to stand at the United Nations building, they would identify him as a Mongolian. They are able to identify a Mongolian, an European and an African. Why are people able to identify different facial features in humans? That is why Wu does not accept the DNA study as the DNA study theorise that Chinese people originated from Africa.
  21. Xian Sheng supported the DNA study as DNA evidence is factual.
  22. Wu Xinzhi served in many China scientific institutions in Beijing and published more than 100 papers and monographs. Wu said the Peking Man is estimated to have lived 500,000 years ago near Beijing (revised to 780,000 years ago). His contention is that the theory that Homo sapiens migrated outward from Africa may be true in Europe, but China went through a different evolutionary process. The migration of modern human theory propounded by the result of the Chinese Human Genome Diversity Project on the similarities of DNA between Chinese people and African people is wrong for China. China does not accept this theory.
  23. Wu insists that Chinese people are descended from the Peking Man and that the present Chinese people are the result of the hybridisation of indigenous people with immigrants from Africa.
  24. Wu admitted that he is not a geneticist but he says Jin and his team should pay attention to the fossil evidence and not just the DNA results. The China government has allocated a sum of money to search for fossil evidence from earlier than 2 million years.
  25. However, it would be hard for China to find such evidence as they would have to find fossil evidence on China’s soil. Xian Sheng asked whether China could find fossils earlier than 4.4 million or 3.2 million years ago. China has so far only been able to unearth Peking Man dating back 500,000 years ago. If China were to base their findings solely on the Peking Man to argue that the Chinese people evolved independently in China, they would be wrong.
  26. Xian Sheng said that the feeling of nationalism is strong in China.
Note:

Xian Sheng treasures knowledge and he reads a lot to keep himself abreast with the latest in science and technology. Xian Sheng sometimes used incorrect terms as scientific jargons and technical details can be a daunting task to memorise. I have taken the liberty to correct some terms that Xian Sheng used incorrectly. He said meteors burns up in the stratosphere when it should be mesophere. He said the circumference of Earth is 12,000+ km when it should be the diameter.

  1. Click on the following link to Stellarium Web Online Star Map. Type in the search bar, "Crux". Depending on where you are located and the day of the year, the Crux constellation may be obscured by the landscape. Click on the landscape icon to toggle between showing and hiding the landscape.
  2. To date, scientists have discovered 55 planets that could be Earth-like. In comparison to the over 4,000 known planets, 55 seems small. Earth-like planets are not going to be as common as other types of planets as too many conditions need to be met for them to exist. Link: How Many Earth-Like Planets Are There In The Milky Way?
  3. Everyone on Earth are spiritually brothers and sisters to each other as all their souls are created by the CREATOR. Their physical and mental capacity, their ethnicity and even their reincarnated locations may be different as everyone has their own role to play and their own examination in life to face. However, all souls have equal opportunity to enter Heaven.
  4. Humans on Earth are either reincarnated from Hell, Limbo or immediately after their demise or newly created souls. Xian Sheng is a Disciple of GOD that came from the Plane of Nothing and incarnated on Earth as a Chinese. Therefore, he excluded himself because his origin is not like humans.
